    The Prophets, Judgment, Hope, & Returning to God with Mason King Mar 22, 2023

    Elizabeth Woodson is joined by Mason King to have a conversation about how the prophets called Israel back to repentance but they did not listen, so God eventually responds by enacting judgment upon them by sending them into exile.Questions Covered in This Episode:

    Guest Bio:Rev. Aaron Moore is the Equipping Pastor at Concord Church in Dallas, Texas. There he provides vision and oversight to the overall Discipleship and Christian Education strategy of the church. Pastor Moore earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, he obtained a Master of Arts in Christian Education at Dallas Theological Seminary, and earned the Master of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (TEDS). He previously served on staff at North Dallas Community Bible Fellowship and the historic Progressive Baptist Church of Chicago. In addition to his pastoral duties, Rev. Moore also serves as an Adjunct Professor at the Moody Bible Institute. Dr. Lyons is a contributing writer for the book, Urban Apologetics: How the Gospel Restores Black Dignity. She is married to Pastor Mark Lyons and they are the parents of four children Malachi, Sophia, Olivia, and Gabriella. Helpful Definitions:
    • Wisdom:
      • Having the skills to live life successfully on God’s terms.
      • The application of God’s truth to our heart; the will, the emotions, and the mind.
        • Our mind: Our thoughts, our beliefs, how we think.
        • Our emotions: How we feel.
        • The will: How we choose to live, how we behave.
      • Having a reverence or fear of God that compels us to see things God’s way. Looking at all things through the eyes of God and responding accordingly.
    • Fools: Some earthly wisdom but reject the wisdom and truth of God.
    • Inexperienced: Accumulating the knowledge and believe the truth of God’s word but are inexperience in applying it to ones life.
