    Der Klassiker, Messi Master Class, and Angry Goals Galore | Stadio Podcast Nov 09, 2020

    Musa and Ryan are back to talk about Bayern’s 3-2 win over Borussia Dortmund in Der Klassiker (03:23) as well as some other talking points from the Bundesliga, including wins for RB Leipizig and Bayer Leverkusen and a wonder goal from Valentino Lazaro (13:01). They then head to La Liga on the day Celta Vigo parted company with Óscar García following a poor run of form (18:43), Valencia’s hat trick of penalties against Real Madrid (21:14), Real Sociedad clear at the top after beating a COVID-19-ravaged Granada (25:34), a Lionel Messi 45-minute master class, and more magic from João Félix (28:13). There’s some Premier League chat, including Manchester City vs. Liverpool (35:13), Manchester United bouncing back against Everton (39:08), and a roundup of the rest of the games, which saw Leicester finish the weekend top of the table (42:35), before a quick roundup of the Women’s Super League and Serie A (52:31).

    Champions League: Manchester United Confuse Again, Glorious Gladbach and More Nov 05, 2020

    Musa and Ryan open up the mailbag and look back at the latest round of Champions League games, starting with Basaksehir’s victory over Manchester United, which displayed some experimental defending (4:43). They move on to RB Leipzig beating PSG and wins for Barcelona and Juventus before touching on even more goals for Erling Haaland (18:14). It was a bad result for Atalanta, but a great one for Liverpool, thanks to a Diogo Jota hat trick (26:21), plus a statement victory for Gladbach and Marco Rose (34:11). There’s chat about Real Madrid vs. Inter (41:33) and the rest of the games (43:54). They give more props to Vivianne Miedema, who scored four mid-week, and look ahead to the ‘Stadio’ Christmas party (50:23).

    Ralph's Saints, Stadio Derby, and the Women's FA Cup Final | Stadio Podcast Nov 02, 2020

    Musa and Ryan heap praise on Ralph Hasenhüttl’s coaching and his Southampton side that put four past Aston Villa at Villa Park (04:22), and they discuss how this Saturday was very much the non-statement victory Saturday in the Premier League (15:37). There’s a big section on the Stadio Derby, which saw Arsenal beat Manchester United at Old Trafford in the league for the first time in 14 years (19:57); Gareth Bale's first goal for Spurs (35:07); and Manchester City retaining the Women’s FA Cup (39:01). They then dart to La Liga, which included one of the weirdest penalties ever awarded for Celta in their home defeat to table-topping Real Sociedad, João Felix's continued embrace of the dark side, Eden Hazard's first score since returning, and Barça's struggles, again (43:55). Finally, they take a quick trip to the Bundesliga and Serie A, where there were big wins for Gladbach, Sassuolo, and Milan (51:44).

    Bartomeu Is Gone but the Champions League Is On | Stadio Podcast Nov 02, 2020
