    Premier League Roundup and Champions League Draw Reaction Dec 18, 2023

    Musa and Ryan round up the Premier League games from the weekend, beginning with the news that Luton’s Tom Lockyer is thankfully stable after suffering a cardiac arrest on the pitch against Bournemouth, before they move on to the games themselves. There was some comedy and drama between Emi Martinez and Neal Maupay at Brentford (03:44), wins for Spurs (08:58), Chelsea, Newcastle, Everton, West Ham and Arsenal, a great point for Crystal Palace at Manchester City (13:38) and Liverpool sharing the points with Manchester United at Anfield (20:33). There’s a quick shout-out for some other fixtures around Europe (30:17), before they react to the Champions League, Europa League and Conference League draws (35:01).

    Champions League: Dortmund and PSG Progress, Newcastle Out of Europe, and Much More Dec 14, 2023

    Musa and Ryan round up Wednesday’s Champions League action, focusing on Milan’s win over Newcastle that saw Eddie Howe’s side go out of Europe entirely and Stefano Pioli’s side head to the Europa League (1:30). They talk about the draw in the other game in Group F, where Dortmund finish top and PSG qualify for the knockout stages as runners-up (11:10). There’s also talk about all the other games on the final match day (20:30), including a bit of chaos in Group H, plus some thoughts on the Champions League overall.

    Another tough night for Man Utd, plus the rest of Tuesday's Champions League Dec 13, 2023

    Musa and Ryan react to Tuesday night’s Champions League games, which saw Real Sociedad qualify top of their group ahead of Inter and a last gasp goal for Benfica to send them into the Europa League (02:30). Then it’s onto Manchester United’s defeat to Bayern, which means there will be no more European football at Old Trafford this season (05:20), with Copenhagen joining Bayern in the knockouts and Galatasaray heading to the Europa League. They touch on Arsenal topping their group (26:31), with Lens taking the Europa League spot, as well as Union’s defeat to Real Madrid, which saw their European adventure end for this year.

    Musa and Ryan begin with a bit of an update on the Christmas schedule, plus shout out a few results, including the Columbus Crew’s second MLS Cup in four years (01:00). They then head to the Premier League, where Liverpool went top after beating Crystal Palace thanks to Mo Salah’s 200th Liverpool goal and a wonderful Harvey Elliott winner (07:27), Aston Villa beat Arsenal to secure a record 15th home win in a row to cap a brilliant week for Unai Emery (18:27), there were more impressive wins for Everton (25:39), and Bournemouth and Spurs addressed their slumps. There’s some quick chat about José Mourinho sending messages (39:10), Bayern getting hammered by Eintracht Frankfurt, Union’s first win since August, and more!

    Galatasaray and Man United Share a Cracker, Six for Arsenal, and Dortmund Escape the Group of Death Nov 30, 2023

    The Champions League was on one this week, so Musa and Ryan begin in Istanbul, for Galatasaray and Manchester United’s incredible 3-3 draw (3:47), which did Erik ten Hag no favours, thanks to Copenhagen’s draw at Bayern. Sevilla went out, after letting a two-goal lead slip to lose 3-2 at home to PSV (13:46), whereas Arsenal go through to the next stage top of the group, after thrashing Lens 6-0 in a game which featured six different goal scorers (17:12). In Group C (25:01), Rodrygo and Bellingham scored again in Real Madrid’s 4-2 win over Napoli, and Union went out of the Champions League in Braga. They then round up Tuesday’s games (30:50), including Newcastle’s late disappointment against PSG, Dortmund winning in Milan, and much more.
