Missouri Woods & Water - Summer Land Work & Some BS Aug 25, 2020
    Show notes

What are some things you like to do on your hunting property throughout the summer? In today's episode, we have our buds Ryan Greco, Dustin Williams, and Tristin Williams with Midwest Wildlife on to talk about some of the things they do to prep their properties during the summer. We get into things like mineral sites, hunting public land and how it can make you a better land manager, wildlife ponds, and access and exit routes. As with any group of fiends, we also take a few left turns and go down some gravel roads on the way to our destination. Bottom line, the summer can be a time to tackle some important projects or a time to keep your property ready to go. Either way, having a plan in place and acting on it is a great idea for your property. Land & Legacy - Land Management vs. Herd Management Aug 25, 2020
    Show notes

Have you ever heard of the phrase "that farm is managed"? Have you stopped to consider what that means? Do you wonder, what type of management they are talking about? Overtime we have seen this term become devalued and over-generalized. During this podcast, we clearly outline the difference between herd management and land management. These two different types of management play huge roles in the progress we aim to see on land. Land management involves, TSI, prescribed fire, old-field, etc. Herd management involves tracking and selectively harvesting deer based on recorded data such as adult sex ratios, fawn recruitment rates, recorded weights, and overall carrying capacity. If you desire to maximize your property you have to actively manage. Manage the land in sync with the herd. It's not, one or the other, it's both. If you want results, manage every aspect and year-round by addressing the needs of the land and herd. #ForLoveoftheLand Land & Legacy is Powered by Simplecast

Land & Legacy - Proven Dove Hunting Tactics Aug 25, 2020

If you enjoy dove hunting, it's not too late to scratch out a few good hunts for this year.
