    Fresh off his win at the 2025 ProSport National Cup championship in Brazil, Ind., Daniel Sneed of Cherryville, North Carolina joins Steve for some dog talk at its finest, chiefly surrounding the hound with which Sneed won the prestigious event. At thirty-eight years of age, Sneed has a story that’s all too familiar to the host having grown up in the home of a houndsman and developing a love for coon hunting at an early age. Steve and Daniel compare notes on their development in the sport and readily find many similarities in their backgrounds. Sneed is an articulate story teller and listeners will enjoy his precise accounts of the three-night Pro Cup event leading up to his hound No Name Epp being declared the overall Pro Cup champion. This one covers all the basis of pleasure and competition hunting and includes an admission by Sneed that may surprise listeners given his obvious success in the competition realm.     Michigan Wild - From The Field May 27, 2025

    On this episode of Michigan Wild, Nate comes to you from the field while turkey hunting. Nate's work and coaching schedule has been hectic so he decided to take the time to talk about some current events along with a real time turkey hunting update in this week's episode. Some of the current events include summer 3d league, hunting dog problems, his expectations for the upcoming fall, and taking the boat out fishing.

    With the upcoming 3d league starting Nate does a quick dive into his bow/arrow setup and his excitement for TAC. He expresses the enjoyment he has setting a new bow up and looks forward to weekly updates with how he shoots each week. Nate also talks about the struggle with a hunting dog suffering medical issues and how it affects the whole family. Something that many outdoorsmen go through each year and is a process to work through. Nate didn't draw Kansas so the fall is wide open and he talks about his mindset going into this upcoming season. Expectations are different fall to fall and he has time to build on his expectations/goals for 2025.
