    Chris Rose has been on national television for decades. He is now with NFL Network and has been since 2012. He has now joined Jomboy Media hosting podcasts for the company. They include The Chris Rose Rotation https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/the-chris-rose-rotation-mlb-players-podcast/id1555532184, which with a rotating cast of current major-league players co-hosting — Miguel Rojas, Tyler Glasnow, Steven Brault, Archie Bradley, Lucas Giolito and Trevor May. He also hosts a daily video show with former big leaguer Trevor Plouffe, while continuing his gig with the Discovery show “BattleBots.” In 2020, Rose concluded his 10-year run at MLB Network. In this podcast, he explains how joining Jomboy allowed him to stay involved in baseball. In August 2022, Rose started hosting a national football podcast on Jomboy Media called “The Chris Rose Football Show” with Jets Tight End CJ Uzomah. During the course of this episode, Rose reflects on his career going back to hosting the “Best Damn Sports Show Period,” and his run at FOX Sports. He discusses how baseball in 2022 is filled with interesting characters but the sport has major marketing trouble and the media doesn't cover the stuff fans would enjoy.     Bob Glauber has covered the NFL since 1985 and has been Newsday's NFL columnist since 1992. He recently announced his retirement from the daily coverage of the league but will contribute occasional articles and work on book projects. He was selected in 2021 for the Bill Nunn Career Achievement Award by the Pro Football Writers of America and is a three-time winner of the New York State Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sports Media Association. Glauber was the President of the PFWA for the 2018-20 seasons. He is the author of two books, “The Forgotten First” and “Guts and Genius.” In this episode, Glauber explains how retirement was entirely his idea and reflects on the four decades of covering the NFL. He explained his favorite players to cover, and how the newspaper business has evolved during his career.     This episode is released one day before the 2022-2023 NFL season commences in Los Angeles. The Rams raise their Super Bowl banner and host the Buffalo Bills. Mark Schlereth played guard in the NFL for 12 seasons (1989–2000) with the Washington Redskins and Denver Broncos. He is now a broadcaster for the NFL on FOX coverage and a radio host at The FAN in Denver, Colorado. Seth covered Mark during his two years as a Broncos beat reporter for that same radio station. Only then, Schlereth didn't speak to the media. In this episode, he reminisces of those glory years in Denver, where the Broncos won 2 Super Bowls. In this episode, they also discuss the upcoming NFL season. Topics include the Buffalo Bills, San Francisco 49ers quarterback situation, Russell Wilson's arrival in Denver, and the Deshaun Watson situation in Cleveland.     366. Live at the 2022 US Open: Russ Thaler, Tennis Channel Aug 31, 2022

    This episode was recorded at the Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows, the site of the US Open Tennis Tournament. Russ Thaler is a broadcaster for Tennis Channel and CBS Sports HQ. During the Open, he calls the World Feed, which is heard globally and also available on ESPN+. Russ was with NBC Sports Network in 2012 when Seth would come on as a baseball insider. This episode is pretty tennis heavy. They discuss the greatness of this era of tennis, and how it might be the best era of tennis in history, which is debated in other sports.     Longtime sports reporter/broadcaster Aditi Kinkhabwala is now with CBS Sports' NFL coverage after 10 years at NFL Network. She also spent time at the Wall Street Journal. Currently, she is also a part of the local Cleveland Browns pre-season TV coverage, where she recently became the only reporter in weeks to interview recently suspended Browns QB Deshaun Watson one-on-one. In this episode, Kinkhabwala explains how important her Indian heritage is for her public persona. She also discusses the incredible popularity the National Football League currently enjoys. She also went into great detail on how the process of getting the Watson interview, and the reaction she saw afterward. Finally, she explains the role social media plays in her very public role.     Linda Cohn has hosted more Sportscenter's than anyone else in the history of that network. She joins the show to discuss her new contract, her role at ESPN, and what makes her a great TV anchor. Cohn joined ESPN in 1992, and a few years ago moved to Los Angeles to host the West Coast Sportscenter. When ESPN got the hockey rights back in 2021, Cohn became part of that coverage, including hosting In the Crease on ESPN+. In this episode, she explains her broadcasting origins, from Long Island, NY to Seattle, WA to Bristol, CT. She discusses what she loves about hockey and her issues with baseball.     363. A Tribute to Vin Scully Aug 10, 2022

    Legendary broadcaster Vin Scully died on August 2, 2022. He was the voice of the Los Angeles Dodgers for 67 seasons, beginning in 1950 when the franchise was located in Brooklyn, New York. He retired in 2016. His tenure is the longest of any broadcaster with a single team in professional sports history. He also called nationally televised football and golf for CBS from 1975-1982 and was NBC Sports' lead baseball play-by-play announcer from 1983 to 1989. In this episode, for the first time in 8 years, an interview between Seth and Scully from August 24th, 2014, is presented. That interview was part of the Mets Pre-Game Show on the Mets Radio Network. It has not aired anywhere since its initial broadcast in 2014. Following the Scully interview, National Baseball Hall of Fame President Josh Rawitch joined the podcast. Rawitch spent 15 seasons with the Los Angeles Dodgers, where he served as Vice President of Communications, also overseeing the Community Relations department. He joined the Dodgers in 1995 and spent parts of five seasons in the marketing department before moving to Public Relations. He also spent 10 years with the Arizona Diamondbacks and also worked with MLB.COM before landing his current role with the Hall of Fame. With the Dodgers, he worked closely with Scully, sharing his unique insight into the man behind the microphone and his off-air persona. This episode is supported by Pristine Auction.     362. Former Hockey Player/Current Announcer Peter McNab Aug 03, 2022

    One of Seth's early sports heroes, Peter McNab joins the show to discuss his extensive career. Peter played in the NHL between 1973 and 1987. He played for the Buffalo Sabres, Boston Bruins, Vancouver Canucks, and ultimately, the New Jersey Devils. There he played for his father Max McNab, who was the team's general manager. Upon his retirement, he moved to the broadcast booth, where he called Devils' games from 1987-1995. Then, he moved to Colorado and became the TV analyst for the Colorado Avalanche since their move from Quebec in 1995. This episode covers his career but focuses on the Devils' stint as well as the early years of the Avalanche. Seth stated he began watching hockey with the Devils' first game, and Peter was instrumental in those formative years. McNab's first season in the booth was the year the Devils made the playoffs for the first time in their history and concluded with their first-ever Stanley Cup Championship. Furthermore, Seth covered the Avalanche from 1996-1998, intersecting with McNab once again. Peter has been battling cancer and has been continuing his role with the Avs 2022 Stanley Cup Championship (which not enough time in the podcast is spent on).


    361. NCAA College Realignment w/Andy Staples, The Athletic Jul 27, 2022

    With the recent announcement that USC and UCLA were moving from the PAC-12 to the Big 10, many questions were raised about the future of college football, and subsequently, college sports overall. Andy Staples has covered college football at the Athletic since 2019. He covered college football for Sports Illustrated from 2008-19. He also hosts "The Andy Staples Show,” a podcast available everywhere you can find this episode. He also can be found on Sirius/XM's College Sports Channel. Some questions were raised during this episode: Will other PAC-12 schools follow USC and UCLA? Will the SEC and Big 10 further evolve into super conferences with new revenue streams that other schools will not be able to compete with? Then, how will lower-tier schools and conferences compete in the national landscape? Where does Notre Dame fit into all this?     This episode was recorded on July 16-17th, 2022 in Red Hook, Brooklyn, New York at the site of the 2022 New York City E-Prix, Rounds 11 and 12 of Season 8 of the Formula-E Championship. Oliver Askew drives He currently competes for the Avalanche Andretti team. He is in his rookie season in Formula E. in the Formula E World Championship for Formula E. He is the 2019 Indy Lights champion. Growing up in Melbourne, Florida, Askew had many options to pursue his driving career. His journey did not take him to NASCAR but rather to this global circuit. Formula-E play-by-play announcer Jack Nicholls, who did Episode 208 of the podcast, rejoined the show to discuss Askew's place as an American in the Formula-E circuit. Also, André Lotterer of the TAG Heuer Porsche Formula E Team, who was in Episode 345 of the show, discussed his recent announcement to leave electric racing to return to Endurance racing for Porsche.
