Lightning Stars Shine in Game 3 Win at Washington & Rays Win Again in Kansas City May 16, 2018

The Lightning get goals from their 4 all-stars Steven Stamkos, Nikita Kucherov, Victor Hedman and Brayden Point to lead them to a 4-2 victory over the Capitals in Game 3 to make this a series. Andrei Vasilevskiy was fantastic in net and the penalty kill was tremendous too. The Rays win again in Kansas City this time behind Anthony Banda who pitched 5 innings tonight in his Rays debut.

The Lightning are dominated once again by the Capitals in a 6-2 loss at Amalie Arena to fall behind 2-0 in the Eastern Conference Final. In contrast to the Boston series, the Lightning are being dominated in 5-on-5 play including giving up a goal on the opening shift on Sunday night. To make matters worse for Tampa Bay fans the Rays got pummeled 17-1 in Baltimore in losing their 6th out of 7 games.
