Rays Struggles in New York Continues As Defense Lets Them Down & Bruce Koepka Wins 4th Major in 8 Starts May 20, 2019

The Rays lose 2 of 3 in New York as the defense struggled on Sunday allowing the Yankees extra outs as they lose 13-5 after leading 5-3 in the 3rd. The Rays are now in 2nd place as they host the Dodgers for 2 games starting Tuesday against Clayton Kershaw and Rich Hill. Also Bruce Koepka avoided an epic collapse to win the PGA Championship, his 4th major in 8 starts as he becomes the #1 ranked golfer in the world, the Rowdies win a battle for 1st place vs. New York, and Willie Taggart was in Tampa on Sunday talking Seminole football.

Long time WDAE host Steve Duemig passed away on Tuesday after a 2+ year battle with cancer but his legacy will live on in Tampa Bay for generations to come as his influence on teams, media, and fans is unmatched in this market. Nobody fought for the fans and teams in Tampa Bay harder than the Big Dog as this market has grown into a major sports town. Plus the Rays are in New York with first place on the line as they face the Yankees and they trade for another catcher, Eric Kratz, and an update on Gerald McCoy's status with the Buccaneers as he's under contract for $13 million but it isn't guaranteed.

Rays Lose Series To Yankees and Glasnow for 4-6 Weeks & Jason Pierre-Paul Will Only Miss 4-5 Months May 13, 2019

The Rays lose 2 of 3 to the Yankees over the weekend and also lose Tyler Glasnow for 4-6 weeks due to a right forearm strain. Of more concern though is the Rays lack of offense with runners in scoring position and the infield defense which hasn't been good lately. Plus the Bucs found out Jason Pierre-Paul will not need surgery and is expected to miss 4-5 months, Kendell Beckwith will miss this season from his car accident from last offseason and the Bucs rookies looked good in their first workouts.
