Maybe we can have nice things as Rick Stroud discusses the news that Tom Brady is expected to sign with the Buccaneers after the NFL's new year starts later today at 4pm. Tuesday started with a social media post from Brady saying goodbye to the Patriots and it was down to the Chargers and Buccaneers. By the end of the day we learn Tom Brady will become a Buccaneer after all and Bucs fans were lining up online for tickets into the night. Head Coach Bruce Arians has his quarterback as Jameis Winston's time in Tampa Bay has come to a close.

Buccaneers To Use Franchise Tag On Shaq Barrett, Jameis Winston To Become Free Agent Mar 16, 2020

Rick Stroud on the Buccaneers are prepared to use the franchise tag on Shaq Barrett before today's deadline at 12pm when free agent can start talking with teams about a new contract. This news means QB Jameis Winston will become a free agent and can begin negotiations later today with other teams. This doesn't mean it won't sign with the Bucs but they will be talking with Tom Brady, Teddy Bridgewater and maybe others before that happens. Plus the NFL's new collective bargaining agreement was ratified by the players meaning there could be 14 playoff teams this season and a 17-game schedule in 2021.
