He was the first black athlete to play in the NHL, he’s been an ambassador for the NHL for the past 30 years, he was just inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, he’s been in two documentaries and has just released his book "Willie". Kwame goes 1v1 with icon Willie O’Ree. Wille talks about his parents and his two siblings who helped shaped his life. He also talks about his relationship with commissioner Gary Bettman and all the lives he’s been able to touch. He just turned 85 years young so learn something new about Willie O’Ree.

He had one of the toughest jobs in hockey, the enforcer. Val James joins the show to speak about his unlikely run as a professional player in the NHL and AHL. Val shares some personal stores of how tough it was to play hockey in the 70's and 80's as one of the very few black athletes and also the racial issues that led him to stay away from the game for over a decade until he had the courage to write his story in the book entitled Black Ice: The Val James Story.
