Jordan Cooper's Misconceptions of Provisionism May 25, 2020

Show notes

Dr. Jordan Cooper, a Lutheran Pastor, recently produced a video (seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwgxb...) critiquing Dr. Leighton Flowers' video on total moral inability from birth (seen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egxHq...)

Disappointingly, Dr. Cooper does not do his homework on the actual beliefs of Traditional Southern Baptists (ie Provisionists) before producing a video in which he erroneously slaps onto us the heretical label "Pelagian."

To better understand why Traditional Southern Baptists (Provisionists) cannot be deemed Semi-Pelagian/Pelagian, please watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T1leI... Or read this article by Dr. David Allen: https://soteriology101.com/2018/10/08...

Blind By Birth Or By Choice? May 11, 2020

Show notes

In this short 15 min video, Dr. Leighton Flowers, Director of Evangelism and Apologetics for Texas Baptists, confronts the Calvinistic doctrine of Total Inability, the idea that all people are born spiritually blind due to God's sovereign decree and thus have no moral ability to respond positively to God's own gracious appeals to be reconciled. Looking at Paul's own sermon in Acts 28 (when some in the audience are convinced but others would not believe) reveals a lot about the natural condition of man in light of the gospel appeal. For more about innate "spiritual deadness" watch this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4t9Pa...
