#348 Podcasting as an Exercise in Thinking Jan 15, 2018

Show notes

On this episode, among many other things, Joey talks about an older man he knows using weed (illegally) to cope with pain instead of his prescribed drugs, and feeling guilty about it. We're having a blast doing this podcast; it really is a privilege to be able to hang with our friends and process out loud. It's a bonus to know we've helped other people a find like-minded group although on the internet. It's kind of a win-win, so thanks to all you listeners for putting up with our dumb asses.

#347 Author of "The Shack," Paul Young Jan 11, 2018

Show notes

William Paul Young had a fundamental, evangelical upbringing that included many false beliefs about God. That led to many questions the church isn’t typically good at entertaining or even allowing, but he couldn’t stop asking. After coming clean about a marital affair to his wife, a new process of learning began in which false notions of God were discarded, and he wrote The Shack to share his new revelation of God with his friends and family. Hear about Young’s love for God as well as his rejection of many doctrines that most evangelical churches would deem essential.

#346 Sad Day When We Can't Laugh at What We Find Hilarious Jan 08, 2018

Show notes

Dave Chapelle gave us a gift in a couple of holiday specials, we were treated to lots of joyous laughs. Isn't that just outright good? Some people are still upset for him not being politically correct or sensitive enough. We're going to start regulating laughter? We're getting back on track with our diet but that all ends at the BadChristianCon.com. Lastly, Matt has a whopper, something along the lines of kids never having to be thankful for their parents?
