On episode 402, we scour the dark corners of UFO history to bring you a handful of UFO encounters that tragically ended in death. From a pilot who vanished into thin air after leaving a terrifying radio transmission behind to a police detective investigating an apparent murder and ending up being abducted by aliens in the process. From violent attacks by UFOs in Brazil to the gruesome discovery of a hunter who may have become the hunted. Were these incidents connected to some sort of malevolent alien presence? Were the deaths completely by accident or happenstance? Or, were they simply tragedies that had nothing to do with an otherworldly explanation? We bring the darkness into the light and search for answers to these fatal mysteries, one case at a time.

On episode 401, we are joined by New York Times Best-Selling author, Annie Jacobsen. With the term "psionics" circling the UFO world as of late, we look back at a book written by Jacobsen called, Phenomena: The Secret History of the U.S. Government's Investigations into Extrasensory Perception. While independent groups are now studying and attempting to use psychic abilities to "summon" UFOs, how did rival nations, during the end of World War 2 and through the Cold War, use similar abilities through various military and intelligence agencies? Why did they invest millions of dollars into classified programs to study mental telepathy, precognition, and extrasensory perception? Was it all for intelligence gathering and defense purposes? Or could there have been more otherworldly reasons as well?

We examine the case of a F-94 Starfire crew who encountered a strange light near Goose Bay in May 1953, one which left them standing as it rapidly avoided their attempts to intercept it. Another - possibly the same object - was observed some hours later by the crew of a Maritime Central Airways airliner 130 miles south-west of Goose Bay.

On a special episode of the podcast, we celebrate the 28th anniversary of the Phoenix Lights incident which took place on March 13th, 1997. That night, thousands of witnesses across Arizona saw strange lights in a V formation hovering above the state, particularly over the city of Phoenix. It's become one of the most widely publicized and documented mass UFO sightings in history. And Jason McClellan was one of those witnesses. He joins us to talk about his personal experience witnessing the Phoenix Lights and then he and Ryan go through the entire timeline of events and the aftermath.

On episode 399, we speak with military veteran, retired police detective, and UFO investigator, James Clarkson. After lecturing about government secrecy pertaining to UFOs, an elderly woman approached him and told him that she agreed that the government wasn't sharing with the public all they knew about UFOs. Upon asking her how she knew, Clarkson was intrigued by her answer; "Because I worked there." This is the story of June Crain, the USAF, and UFOs. Clarkson runs us through some of the more compelling aspects of both June Crain's life and her handling of possible materials from the Roswell UFO incident.
