Sound Off 753 - WHY THE FORBIDDEN DOOR ISN’T ABOUT ”CASUAL FANS” AND THAT’S OKAY Apr 24, 2022

Show notes

News of the FORBIDDEN DOOR show being hosted by AEW and New Japan has generated a lot of excitement this week, but also, a lot of phony concern from certain fans online about how AEW is failing to attract "casual viewers" with such a show. Solomonster hasn't seen this many horrendous takes since... well, given this community, probably only a week ago. He puts these fools in their place and explains why it's okay for Tony Khan to give WRESTLING FANS something fun on his WRESTLING SHOW. You know, the same wrestling show he got $175 million from WarnerMedia for. Then, he runs down some potential matches for the show and has news on Kushida leaving WWE at the most opportune of times. But that's not all... WWE is celebrating 20 YEARS OF RANDY ORTON this week and Solomonster gives his thoughts on Orton's career, the five best Randy Orton matches, and he makes the pitch for a match at WrestleMania 40 that he can't even believe he's suggesting, but there's no doubt it would be a major attraction for that show. Plus, thoughts on Bret Hart reportedly signing a lucrative deal with WWE... Alexa Bliss expresses frustration to Vince McMahon over her lack of creative direction... why Austin Theory winning the US title from Finn Balor was absolutely the right move... Drew McIntyre already being lined up for Roman Reigns, but is it too soon?... Triple H speaks about the NXT 2.0 relaunch and contradicts his own past comments, and what's REALLY going on here... Sunny being removed from the WWE Hall of Fame and lots more. Get an extra THREE MONTHS FREE with EXPRESSVPN when you visit EXPRESSVPN.COM/SOLOMONSTER and support the Sound Off!

Sound Off 751 - TONY KHAN’S BOT INVASION + WHY TAMMY SYTCH DESERVES NO ONE’S SYMPATHY Apr 10, 2022

Show notes

It was just two months ago that Solomonster wondered if it would take killing someone to wake up Tammy Sytch after being hit with 11 charges in the state of New Jersey. Sadly, someone has now lost their life as a result of her reckless actions. He talks about exactly what happened, why she isn't behind bars right now and minces no words in making it clear how he feels about the situation. He also addresses Tony Khan and his independent study into fake accounts posting, and bots boosting, negative social media posts about AEW. While that may be true, he didn't come off well in this at all. Plus, the messy situation involving Nash Carter being FIRED by WWE and MSK being stripped of the NXT tag team titles... Samoa Joe debuts in AEW and the big match announced for him on Dynamite this week... why Cody Rhodes should be the man to dethrone Roman Reigns as champion... Show notes

Solomonster is back with one last review to cap off a busy weekend covering the Raw After WrestleMania show for April 4th. In the past, this show has been an exciting one, but that no longer appears to be the case. Cody Rhodes gets a live mic for the first time in six years and makes his mission statement clear in the best segment on an otherwise dull show that included an NXT championship change and MVP turning on Bobby Lashley. Show notes

Solomonster reviews Night Two of WWE WrestleMania 38 from Dallas, TX on a night where Roman Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar to unify the WWE and Universal titles, but Pat McAfee and Austin Theory stole the show.
