The wrestling world lost a legend in The Iron Sheik this week and Solomonster remembers a man who lived a pretty incredible life, one that wasn't always pretty. He talks about why he fled Iran for the United States, three of the most memorable matches in MSG history he was part of, the incident that got him and Hacksaw Jim Duggan fired from WWE, his rampant drug use and the murder of his oldest daughter. Tony Khan announces the first main event for AEW Collision involving CM Punk, terrible ticket sales for Collision so far and a possible Forbidden Door match for Punk with KENTA... thoughts on the promo segment with MJF and Adam Cole, what he liked about it and what he did NOT like about it... updates on Mercedes Mone and AEW, as well as Stardom's involvement in this month's Forbidden Door show... Nick Khan and the MAJOR changes he appears to be making to NXT... AEW teasing a possible match between MJF and GOLDBERG?... first images and gameplay released for Owen Hart in AEW Fight Forever and a message to the morons criticizing his involvement... Will Ospreay all but announces that he will be staying with New Japan and the main reason why we won't see him in WWE... the New Japan President talks about just how close they came to shutting their doors forever during the pandemic... WWE Smackdown 6/2/23 Review - SOLO SIKOA CHOOSES ROMAN REIGNS OVER HIS OWN BROTHERS Jun 03, 2023

Show notes

Solomonster reviews WWE Smackdown for June 2nd with Roman Reigns celebrating a thousand days as champion with a new title belt that somehow is a downgrade from what he had before. More importantly though, Solo Sikoa chose Roman over his own brothers in another dramatic Bloodline segment. LA Knight has also qualified for the Money in the Bank match and, beyond that, this was a very forgettable episode.

AEW Dynamite 5/31/23 Review - CM PUNK ANNOUNCED FOR COLLISION DEBUT TO A MIXED REACTION Jun 01, 2023

Show notes

Solomonster reviews a very enjoyable post-Double or Nothing edition of AEW Dynamite for May 31st, with Tony Khan announcing the return of CM Punk for the AEW Collision debut, and doing so to a very mixed reaction in the building (and online). Let the fun and games begin. Plus, Don Callis melts in the HEAT generated inside the building in a segment where, at time, it was difficult to hear him because it was so loud. Adam Cole and Britt Baker also wrestle Chris Jericho and Saraya, why it was the right outcome and the match was light years better than their Unsanctioned match last Sunday.
