If you have spent any amount of time with Nicole and me, I'm pretty sure you know that we love Jane Austen. If you are just stumbling across Snark Squad for the very first time, hello! My name is Marines, and my best friend Nicole and I love Jane Austen.
This is our third entry into our larger Jane Austen mini-project, in which we discuss the novel and its various adaptations. We did Pride and Prejudice (my favorite) and Emma (Nicole's favorite), and next, we took on Persuasion.

When we saw that Shogun was the most nominated show at this year's Emmys, we figured we had to know what they hype was about. This episode was recorded before the awards, but we were rooting for them to win every single one.

A YA shifter romance was adapted into a TV show so obviously we had to talk about it, and we brought back our very first friend of the pod, Ceri Riley, to unpack all of our feelings about our girlboss queen, cartoon villains, and of course horses.

We are back with something other than an annual recap! Everyone was talking about Bridgerton and we simply had to join them. We invited the brilliant and delightful Princess Weekes to help us unpack our very mixed feelings about this show.

Our very occasional podcast returns with an episode we recorded last summer. Time is fake! Fortunately, our dear friends Sam & Jessica have accepted our invitation into DCEU purgatory and now there's no going back for them or us. But this movie was very popular & now you can find out if we agreed with last summer's general consensus.

Things we love: book adaptations & pretending time has no meaning. PART 3 of 3 of our DCEU marathon! We have reached the end and are closing out this project with Aquaman, Shazam, Birds of Prey, and Wonder Woman 1984. We had some disagreements over rankings but universal agreement that this was the most enjoyable batch of movies for the entire project. We had lots of feelings about big action set pieces, terrible wigs, and villains who maybe didn't get punched enough.

PART 2 of our 3 part DCEU marathon! We decided to give Justice League its own episode mostly because we weren't entirely sure where else to put it, but it turns out to be a whole lot of nothing. In spite of being a whole lot of nothing, we had plenty to say about nonsensical character motivations, people who seem to be in different movies, and a deeply underwhelming villain.

When we were making our way through the MCU the elephant in the room was always whether we were ever going to talk about the DC movies on the podcast. There was a brighter time when we loved ourselves more and we said "No ❤️" but that time has passed and now here we are.
