ASMR (“Acute Sense of Relief”) has been shown to have a calming and relaxing effect. This is because ASMR triggers the release of dopamine into your brain, which in turn makes you feel better.
ASMR videos consist of people whispering, singing or tapping. They may contain slow Foley effects such as whispering or the sound of a zipper.
If you search for an ASMR video on YouTube you will get a quite a few million hits.
    What is ASMR?
ASMR is a sensation created by people listening to or watching content. Some people feel a vibration in the back of their head while others feel a tingling or itching sensation on their face.
The sensation is heightened if a certain sound or video is used. The sensation is also heightened if the person watching or listening is someone they know.
ASMR videos can be created by people on videos where they just talk or tap. Some ASMR videos have been created through a song. An example of such a video is “ASMR – Shutterbugs” by cEvin Ramone.
ASMR has been classified as an Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR). ASMR was first identified by a group of researchers from Max Planck Institute for Human Cognitive and Brain Sciences in 2013.
The trigger for ASMR videos is binaural sound. ASMR triggers are auditory sensations. The sensation is heightened when certain sounds are played.
ASMR can be triggered by a number of different things. The most common of which is slow whispering. The whispering must be slow enough that you can hear the words being said.
Certain sounds such as the opening and closing of a door can trigger the sensation.
It is important that the sound or video must be slow enough so that you can hear the person talking or tapping.

I personally find rain and thunder sounds to be incredibly relaxing. Whether I'm trying to fall asleep or just need to clear my head, I always feel better after listening to a few minutes of rain.
There's just something about the sound of raindrops hitting the ground that makes me feel at ease. And when combined with the deep, rumble of thunder in the background, it's even more relaxing.
If you're looking for a way to relax and reduce stress, I highly recommend giving rain and thunder sounds a try. I think you'll be surprised at how effective they can be!
    --
If you have ever experienced a rainfall related experience, you will know that the experience can be quite calming and leave you feeling relaxed. When you experience rain, it is not only the sight of the rain that really calms you. The sensation of the rain on your skin and the sound of rain falling all around you is also very relaxing. The feeling of the rain on your skin is oddly calming.
The sensation of rain on your skin is odd because you would think that being wet would be unpleasant. However, being wet is not unpleasant. The rain actually helps your body process stress. It relieves you of any stress that your body has been holding. The rain itself also acts as a natural moisturizer.
The experience of thunder sounds also has a relaxing effect. The effect of thunder sounds is felt mainly in the body. The feeling of thunder is odd. You feel the sensation of your body shaking and your body tenses up. You start to feel more relaxed after experiencing the thunder.
The experience of thunder sounds feels odd because you do not experience the same sensation during a storm. During a thunderstorm, the thunder is accompanied by lightning. There is no feeling of rain on your skin.
    What causes this relaxing effect?
Scientists believe that it is to do with the sounds that the rain makes. The sounds that the rain makes are noises that the Phillies produce. The sounds that rain makes are noises that humans make. However, the sounds that rain makes are different from the human sounds. The sounds that rain makes are deeper and louder.
What makes the rain sounds relaxing?
Scientists believe that the sound of rain falling on hard surfaces, such as a roof, is a noise that humans do not naturally produce. The noise that humans do not naturally produce is deeper and louder.
Scientists also believe that the sound of rain falling on soft surfaces, such as grass, is a noise that humans do not naturally produce. The noise that humans do not naturally produce is softer and faster.
Scientists believe that the sound of the rain falling on grass sounds softer and faster because, like the wind, the grass moves when The rain hits the grass and the water moves through the grass. The softness and the speed of the sound helps the brain get used to the sounds, the build up of the sounds creates the sound of rain. Scientists also believe that the sound of rain falling on hard surfaces is deeper and louder because the sound of the rain hitting the hard surfaces is amplified by the hard surfaces.
Scientists believe that the sound of rain falling on soft surfaces is softer and faster because the sound of the rain hitting the soft surfaces is amplified by the soft surfaces.
What is the benefit to listening to rain sounds?
The benefit of listening to rain sounds is that you can escape into a world which is relaxing. A world where you are alone and do not feel the stresses of the world around you. A world where you are at peace.
The benefit of listening to rain sounds is that you are able to relax. The experience of relaxation helps to relieve you of any stress that your body has been holding.
The experience of relaxation helps you to de-stress. The experience of relaxation helps you to feel more relaxed. The experience of relaxation helps you to feel more at ease. The experience of relaxation helps you to feel happier.
Being relaxed will help you to feel better. Being relaxed will help to increase your motivation. Being relaxed will help you to feel more refreshed. Being relaxed will help you to feel more energized. Being relaxed will help you to feel happier.
The experience of relaxation will help you to sleep better. The experience of relaxation will help you to feel more rested and able to go about your day.
The experience of relaxation will help you to feel happier.

Do you often get into bed and find yourself trying to fall asleep but without ever feeling any sleep? Do you lie there staring at the ceiling or looking at your phone, thinking, “I wish it would rain so I could hear the rain drop on the window”? Do you lie there thinking, “I wish it would thunder so I could hear the sound of thunder”?
You don’t have to take matters into your own hands. Here are 3 ways by which you can experience the feeling that rain or thunder are falling on you, without actually having to leave your room.
Make a Rain or Thunder Pack
You don’t need any special supplies to create a rain or thunder pack. All you need is a empty box or bag and some fabric.
You will need the fabric and some time. Take your time and really think about the design of the fabric. You want to make sure that any patterns or textures don’t irritate your skin.
Once you have your design together, you will need to cut out your fabric. Make sure that you cut it nice and big. You want the pack to be large enough to cover your back.
Once you have your fabric cut out, you will need to fold it in half length wise. This will make it nice and long.
Then you will need to fold it in half again. You will then want to fold it in half again. Keep folding it in half until it is nice and thick. You should then have a fabric pack which is big enough to cover your back.
You will then want to decide how you are going to make it hold of water. Most fabrics will hold water when soaked. For this pack, you will need to soak it in water first. You can do this by taking a freshly washed cloth and soaking it in a bucket of water.
Then you will need to put your fabric pack into the damp cloth. You will then need to squeeze the water out of the fabric.
Once you have squeezed the water out, you will need to put the pack onto your body. You should then want to move slowly, so that the fabric of your pack does not rub on your skin.
You should then want to wear your pack. It can be a little heavy at first but you will get used to the weight eventually.
If you find any areas which rub on the skin, you will need to gently rub the fabric with your hand.
Do you get woken up by thunder?
If thunder wakes you up then there are a number of ways to deal with it.
You can try to go back to sleep. Try to go back to sleep for 10 minutes and start counting sheep.
You can try to close your eyelids. Close your eyes and try to relax.
You can try to play a relaxation game. Play some music, maybe something slow like laid back music. Then try to focus on different parts of your body. Start at the feet and gradually work your way up your body. Focus on different parts of your body and try to relax.
If you are unable to get back to sleep, then it could be that you have a problem with your night guard.
A night guard is a piece of plastic which blocks out the light. It is commonly used by people who have sleeping disorders.
If you have tried all of the above and still find yourself waking up with thunder then it might be time to speak to a doctor.
If thunder wakes you up then it may be a sign that you are sleep deprived.
Sleep deprivation can cause a number of problems. It can cause a whole host of different problems.
It can cause you to become forgetful. It can make you unable to concentrate. It can make your motivation low.
It can cause you anxiety and depression. It can cause you to behave aggressively.
It can cause you to have a lack of energy.
It can cause you to lose your appetite.
So, if you are tossing and turning in bed night after night, it could be that you need a night guard.
A night guard is a piece of plastic which blocks out the light. It is commonly used by people who have sleeping disorders.
If you have tried all of the above and still find yourself waking up with thunder then it might be time to speak to a doctor.

    ---
Many people look forward to the night’s rest. The opportunity to relax and recharge after a busy day. Unfortunately, for some the bright and shiny world of sleep is elusive.
There are a number of different reasons why people suffer from sleepless nights. Changes in weather patterns, work pressures and a lot of different things can have an impact on your sleep.
For some, the very first thing that occurs when they go to bed is their minds race out of control. They think about the millions of things that they have to do the following day and worry about every single outcome. This anxiety can cause them to spend the whole night tossing and turning in bed.
For others, the sleep itself causes them to feel groggy and exhausted when they wake up. They struggle to get enough sleep and feel tired and stressed when they wake up.
In both cases, one of the biggest contributors to sleep deprivation is the mind.
    How Can sleep help us?
As humans, we have evolved to sleep. Although we have deprived of sleep during the evolution, we have still managed to survive.
Sleep allows us to lower our stress levels. When we are stressed, the hormones that are released into our bodies cause us to be more alert and awake. When we sleep, these hormones are cleared out of our bodies and we are able to rest without any problems.
When we sleep, our body and mind have a chance to repair and rejuvenate. The muscles have time to relax, the skin gets a chance to regenerate and our body can repair itself.
Sleep is important for our performance the next day. When we sleep, our body is able to fully recharge itself. When we wake up, we are full of energy and ready to start the day.
    The Calming Art of Sleep
There are a number of things that you can do to help yourself get more sleep.
Take care of yourself at night
Before you go to bed, make sure that you take a good look at yourself. Make sure that you have eaten enough and that you have had some water. Make sure that you are not too hot or too cold.
Making yourself comfortable is the most important part of this. If your body is not comfortable, then it is going to be difficult to get to sleep. If your body is comfortable, then your mind will have an easier time relaxing and you will be able to fall asleep more easily.
    Get some natural sunlight
Many people struggle to sleep because of difficulty sleeping in the darkness. Natural light helps our body produce the sleep hormone Melatonin. When we have natural light, it is easier for our bodies to fall asleep.
Make sure that you get some natural light during the day. This does not have to be sunlight. It could be from a window or from some artificial lighting.
    Avoid caffeine at night
Caffeine is a stimulant and caffeine is consumed in many different places. It can be in tea, coffee, chocolate, soft drinks or in supplements.
Caffeine is a diuretic. This means that it increases the amount of water in your body. This makes it more difficult for you to fall asleep.
Avoid caffeinated drinks late in the day. The caffeine can take up to 8 hours to leave your system. These include soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Try a meditation or mindfulness practice
Meditation and mindfulness are practices that can really help you relax.
When you practice meditation, you focus on your breathing. You focus on the in and outs of your breathing. You allow your thoughts to come and go and you just focus on your breathing.
When you practice mindfulness, you focus on the present moment. You focus on your surroundings. You focus on what you see. You focus on what you have in your immediate surroundings.
Both meditation AND mindfulness help to lower our stress levels. When you lower our stress levels, it is easier for us to fall asleep.
    Avoid screen time before bed
Screen time before bed can make it difficult for you to fall asleep.
Screens can stimulate our brains and make it more difficult for us to fall asleep.
It is best not to use screens before bed.
Put your phone in a drawer and turn off all screens before you go to sleep.

ASMR, or autonomous sensory meridian response, is a tingling sensation that begins in the scalp and moves down the back of the neck and spine. It's often triggered by certain sounds, such as soft speaking, rain, or thunder.
For many people, ASMR is a deeply relaxing experience that can help them fall asleep. In fact, some people use ASMR specifically to help them sleep.
And that's where Sleep and ASMR Thunder Rain comes in. This podcast features 8-hour-long episodes of rain and thunder, with ASMR triggers woven throughout. It's designed to help you fall asleep faster and stay asleep longer.
Plus, it's totally free. We have ad-free versions of this in Apple Podcast and Patreon so please if you find this helpful, consider supporting us.
So if you're looking for a deep, restful sleep, give Sleep and ASMR Thunder Rain a try. It just might be the answer to your sleepless nights.
