Iny teaches Becca all about this powerhouse woman and what she has done to pave the way for today's Latina actresses. We talk about her current show One Day at A Time and how it is such an important show for the Latin community. Rita is such an inspiration and this was the perfect way to finish off this month.

In the Heights: La Primera Parte Oct 07, 2020

Show notes

Dear Listener,

Today's gonna be a good day and here's why: because today we start out Hispanic Heritage Month celebration! We kick it off with what was supposed to be an episode about the entire show In The Heights and instead we didn't even get to the first act. Whoops! There was honestly too much to talk about, especially with it being so important in Iny's life, so we are stretching it to two weeks! In this first one you'll hear the story of Iny discovering Lin Manuel Miranda, get a little bit of a history lesson on Cuba, and a lot of gushing about this beautiful show.
