In other news of the day, President Trump marked the nation's 250th anniversary with a late-night speech on the National Mall that combined historical praise with modern political rhetoric, NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani decried capitalism and the US’ involvement in foreign wars during his address marking America’s 250th anniversary — while sitting at George Washington’s desk, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu wished the United States a happy Independence Day on its 250th anniversary and praised his country's alliance with America, and controversy surrounds FIFA suspending the red card U.S. striker Folarin Balogun received in the team's match against Bosnia-Herzegovina in the round of 32 - making him available to face Belgium in the round of 16 at the World Cup - with ABC confirming reports that President Trump called FIFA President Gianni Infantino after the U.S. win over Bosnia-Herzegovina last week to ask him to review Balogun's red card.
