    Michaela and Vanessa explain how the story of a rural Western Massachusetts covid-conscious LGBTQ+ bar inadvertently saved journalism. The PWHL announces its inaugural All-Star Game will be held in Toronto on March 7th, 2027. It’ll be a four-team 3-on-3 tourney with Canada, U.S.A., an International Team and an all-rookie team. Vanessa wonders, but hey, where’s the skills competition? Montreal Victoire bench boss Cori Cheverie, two years Michaela’s senior, is named head coach of Team Canada ahead of the upcoming World Championship. The WNBA playoffs are upon us! Could this finally be top-seeded Minnesota’s year? Paige Bueckers scores more points in her first two seasons than any other player in WNBA history. There’s a lot of soccer going on right now. The NSL season is winding down. Montreal’s late-season charge has come at Ottawa’s expense. The NWSL regular season doesn’t end until November 1st because of course it does. Gotham has been the league’s top team all season long. The L.A. Queens are the WPBL’s first-ever champion.

Queens vs. the San Francisco Firebells! Michaela and Vanessa dive deep into the WSL’s second week of action and get you caught up on the NWSL.

    Injuries are piling up ahead of the WNBA playoffs, including A’ja Wilson, who’s out of the FIBA World Cup in Germany. Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers and a whole new generation of Americans are making their World Cup debuts on a scary looking Team USA (Canada didn’t qualify). A bad look for LSU head coach Kim Mulkey who recruits Russian Anna Minaeva, causing Ukrainian Kate Koval to leave the program in protest. Michaela and Vanessa play Red Flag Green Flag, Would You Rather and a new game, Letterbox Reviews, where they read reviews of sports movies and try to guess the film! Michaela and Vanessa are getting antsy for the PWHL’s return but training camps don’t open for another ten weeks. Kendall Coyne Schofield reups in Minnesota for two years. Is Detroit, who signed Britta Curl, now the PWHL’s most heated squad? Canada’s Volleyball team qualifies for the 2028 L.A. Games and will participate in the Olympics for the first time since 1996!

Sydney Leroux is back at Angel City FC. Canada is the new women’s flag football champion of the world!

The Walter Cup temporarily goes missing in Edmonton as Victoire players continue their summer celebration rotation. Spanish striker Esther Gonzalez shocks the world by signing in Saudi Arabia just weeks after leaving Gotham FC for personal reasons. The 2026 US Open singles draw is revealed.

    A’ja Wilson gets 26 points – on an ‘off’ night – as the Las Vegas Aces storm back from 20 points down to beat the Indiana Fever. Chelsea Gray becomes the first WNBA player to force overtime with a three-pointer and win the same game in overtime with a three pointer. Minnesota’s Kayla McBride hits 10 three-pointers in a win over Dallas to set a single-game WNBA record. Chicago’s DiJonai Carrington is ejected for a flagrant foul on Indiana’s outspoken Sophie Cunningham, adding another layer to the WNBA’s most sensitive sore spot right now. American Olivia Moultrie could miss next summer’s World Cup after tearing her ACL playing for the NWSL’s Portland Thorns. Carmelina Moscato will be the new head coach of NSL’s Ottawa Rapid FC. Michaela and Vanessa play ‘Sports Would You Rather’ and ‘Sports Red Flag Green Flag!’

Kelsey Plum is fitting right in with Phoenix, scoring 20 points in her Mercury debut. Sophie Cunningham continues to double-down on her transphobia as teammate Caitlin Clark tries avoids the issue. FIFA nixes its plan to sell the World Cup to private equity interests. Women’s pro baseball is making a comeback as the four-team WPBL begins play! In yet another attack on trans athletes, the WTA will make gene testing mandatory in time for the 2028 Olympics. The NWSL is featured in the new season of Ted Lasso!

Indiana Fever bench player Sophie Cunningham makes transphobic comments. The heart says Paige Bueckers should win this year’s MVP award but the numbers say A’ja Wilson is still the most deserving. How scary are the first place Minnesota Lynx now that Napheesa Collier is back? Caitlin Clark will be on the cover of 2K27. Ottawa Rapid FC remain atop the NSL table, however their head coach will be leaving at the end of the year. Canadian forward Jordyn Huitema suffers a brutal ACL injury.

    Michaela and Vanessa see Paige Bueckers put up 34 points live as the Dallas Wings beat the Toronto Tempo in front of over 20,000 fans in Montreal’s first-ever WNBA regular season game. Minnesota Lynx point guard Olivia Miles is running away with the rookie of the year award. Did the NBA ask the WNBA to suspend Alyssa Thomas? Winnipeg will join the Northern Super League in 2027 as its seventh club. Don’t look now but Ottawa Rapid FC are in first place in the NSL. Sam Kerr makes her official return to the NWSL with Gotham FC.
