    Show notes

Jacinta is a vintage fashion lover; owner of 35 plants and she is sassy as Mariah Carey. You will know Jacinta as the driving force behind 'spending your money where it counts' blog post on Sewcialists published on 6 June.

That date is important because in the weeks prior, Jacinta took it upon herself to develop a spreadsheet of sewing/knitting/craft companies and vendors that are either black/indigenous owned or allies.

By the way, Jacinta is Australian.

    Fabric shopping part 1 Jun 11, 2020
    Show notes

"How do you assess your fabric purchases? Is cheap fabric inferior, or can you sometimes find a genuine bargain? Does expensive always mean quality…and what does that mean? How do you weigh up long lasting plastic-based fabrics against 'natural' fibres that may gradually wear out but where ageing can add to the appeal of the fabric?

The official blog writer for Sewover50, Susan Young of Susan Young Sewing, discusses the fabric purchase feedback and ideas followers of Sewover50 contributed on Instagram. Part 2 will go live next Thursday.
