Center of Attention: The Los Angeles Lakers - A Podcast Miniseries By Setting The Pace Jan 21, 2026

Show notes

On today's 21st episode of the Center of Attention, Alex Golden looks at the Los Angeles Lakers to discuss the centers they have on their roster: Deandre Ayton, Jaxson Hayes and Maxi Kleber.

Could the Pacers dip their toes in the pool once again for Ayton? Would trading for Ayton or waiting till he hits FA make sense for this group? What about Jaxson Hayes? Could the former 8th overall pick be in play for the Pacers? Lastly...a former player of Rick Carlisle's, Maxi Kleber, is on an expiring $11M contract...could the Pacers have interest in trading a young player to get an expiring contract if an asset is attached? Alex discusses it all.

Now at the end of each discussion, the guys give each team and their center depth a letter grade. A being the best, F being the worst.

We hope you enjoy this miniseries! Tomorrow, we discuss the Golden State Warriors! NEW episode out on January 22nd!

With that said, I went solo on today's episode as Facci is still traveling back from vacation to quickly touch on the Pacers 103-94 loss and then Ryan Hammer, a superb draft analysts, joins me to breakdown the Top 5 of the NBA Draft Class as of now and we also dive into centers in this draft class.

Happy Tuesday Indiana fans!

Pacers 3 Game Winning Streak Snapped After Raptors Hold Off 4th Quarter Comeback Jan 15, 2026

Show notes

Alex Golden is joined by Austin Buckley (aka CSB) to discuss the Indiana Pacers 115-101 loss to the Toronto Raptors. A rough first quarter made the hole to deep to climb out of for the Pacers, but they did cut the Raptors lead to 4 with a few minutes left to play in the 4th. It was a competitive game, despite Indy never having a lead.
