Episode 70: The Nunisher (featuring Wayne Hunt and Lyn Ngo) Jul 24, 2017

Show notes

This week Shinbone is replaced by two more voices in her head/Kings Comics staff - corgi expert Lyn Ngo and comic loving hoophead Wayne Hunt! Together they save Levins from the complete insanity that is hosting an entire two hour comic book review show by himself (although they strand him for the last 50 minutes of this episode). Listen carefully for a very special cameo!

Episode 69: Jimbone (with Jim Papagrigoriou) Jul 17, 2017

Show notes

Siobhan's a mum now! Congrats Shinbone (and Mr Shinbone and Shinbone Jr)!

For the first week of her podcast maternity, Siobhan is replaced by the oracle of Serious Issues, the guy we always yell questions at while we record, Jim Papagrigoriou! After working at Kings Comics for more than 20 years, Jim is more than qualified to review this week's onslaught of number one issues, before leaving Levins to review 30 regular issues all by himself. Does Levins make it to the end of the episode without going completely mad? Tune in to find out.

Episode 67: Ask Me About My Hydra Agenda Jul 03, 2017

Show notes

56 comics are reviewed in our longest episode yet, which also features the most arguments we've ever had since we started Serious Issues! If you love super long podcasts in which the hosts constantly disagree about almost everything and also go off on tangents about Miley Cyrus for no reason then baby this is the episode for you!

Serious Interview: Ryan Griffen Jun 28, 2017

Show notes

We spent an afternoon speaking with Ryan Griffen, creator of the TV series Cleverman, which mixes the world of superheroes with stories from The Dreaming. Ryan is also the co-writer of the brand new Cleverman comic book, which we reviewed earlier this week in Episode 66.

We talk to Ryan about his comic book inspirations - and his aspirations to write comics about Aboriginal characters for Marvel and DC. We learn a few things about the second season of Cleverman and the future of the comics based on the show.
