When the Rooster Crows Sep 21, 2026
    Show notes

Hi SSH Community! In this Bible study, we explore Peter’s denial and restoration, and what his story teaches us about repentance, mercy, and the gracious work of Christ.

In our Scriptures today, we trace Peter’s journey from being called by Jesus, to confidently claiming he would never deny Him, to weeping bitterly when the rooster crowed. Yet Peter’s failure was not the end of his story. The risen Christ met him in mercy, restored him in love, and recommissioned him to feed His sheep. His story reminds us that restoration is the fruit of repentance, and that failure does not have the final word when Christ restores what sin has broken.

    The Scriptures we study are:

    • John 1:35–42
    • Luke 22:31–34
    • Luke 22:54–62
    • John 21:1–19
    • Luke 5:1–11

Earthly Appetites, Heavenly Hope Jul 29, 2026
    Show notes

Hi SSH Community! In this Bible study, we explore what it means to live in a manner worthy of the Gospel by embracing a pattern of life shaped by Christ and by rejecting the earthly, self-governed way of life of those who oppose the cross.

In our Scriptures today, Paul writes to the Philippians warning them against the ways of the world and reorienting them toward Christ. He calls them to fix their eyes on their heavenly citizenship, stand firm in their identity as those who belong to Christ, and resist the pressures of a culture that would pull them toward what is earthly. He reminds them that the cross demands daily death to the flesh and that their hope is not in this world, but in the Savior they await from heaven.

    The Scriptures we study are:

    • Philippians 3:17–21

Jesus the High Priest: Blood & Access Jun 30, 2026
    Show notes

Hi SSH Community! In this follow-up and concluding session to our last Bible study, we explore the fullness of what Jesus accomplished through His death. Jesus not only shed His blood to save us; He tore the veil that kept us from drawing near to God, giving us eternal access to the Father through Him.

In this study, we look at how Jesus fulfills the entire sacrificial system as our Great High Priest, the final sacrifice, the altar, and the true temple where God and His people meet.

    The Scriptures we study are:

    • Hebrews 2:17
    • Hebrews 6:19–20
    • Hebrews 7:23–25
    • Hebrews 9:11–14
    • Hebrews 10:11–14
