On this week’s episode, I have a super pumped Witch of the Week segment where I will be interviewing Social Media Witch Superstar, and Occult Bibliophile, Marshall of Witch of Southern Light to spill all the witchy tea. In addition to spilling all that tea, we will also be talking about practical aspects of the craft such as sigil magick and using wands. In addition to all the mammoth content in this episode, I will be throwing in a bonus segment this week where I will be helping you get started with sigil magick. If you want to chat about any of the content from today’s show, you can continue the conversation with me over on Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and TikTok @SotWwithRowan To hear more from Marshall, you can find him @witchofsouthernlight on Instagram and TikTok, or if you’re on the hunt for those fabulous wands he mentioned in the show, you can find theme here on Etsy.

A Spell for Balance and a Spell of Under-representation in the Witch Community - Ep. 1 Sep 21, 2020
    Show notes

Join me, Rowan Oaken, your new gay best friend, witch-dad and host of the first ever ‘Season of the Witch’ podcast.

This week, we will be throwing open Pandora’s Box as we flip the lid on representation in the witch community and in the spirit of the autumnal/spring equinoxes, we will be getting into the themes of balance. I will be sharing my favourite spell for balance (link below) and the story of how it absolutely changed my life.

In the spirit of first meetings, I will let you in on the story of how I first began exploring the craft and unpick a bit of witchy family background along with some strange phallic rituals from the village I grew up in. Make sure you are part of the discussion too; join me in my Instagram coven run with my sister @samhainsisterhood . Looking forward to hearing your stories and seeing what suggestions you have for future content.
Stay tuned after the show (35:53) for full details of the Llewellyn Balance spell.
