RECAP: Seahawks vs 49ers - quotes, highlights and top performers from Week 13 Dec 06, 2021

Show notes

Although the final score looks relatively normal with a 30-23 victory for the Seahawks, the way Seattle got to that final score was anything but normal. In this recap, we hear from Pete Carroll about his thoughts on Adrian Peterson getting in the end zone to tie an NFL all-time great. Carlos Dunlap, who had two of the biggest plays in the game, talked candidly about why we haven't seen him on the field as much as last year. Quandre Diggs talked about his interception, Nick Bellore offered his thoughts on some big plays on offense and special teams, and Russell Wilson offered some words of encouragement for a player who had his worst game of the season.

Pete Carroll is excited to see if Adrian Peterson helps out Dec 03, 2021

Show notes

The Seahawks signed a future Hall of Fame running back to the practice squad this week, bringing on Adrian Peterson to help their slumping run game. Russell Wilson led the team on Monday with 16 yards on two carries, and with injuries to Alex Collins and Rashaad Penny they needed to add some depth to the group. In the press conference, Carroll responds to why Carlos Dunlap only played four snaps and why Russell Wilson was missing throws on key third downs. He also offers an update on Damien Lewis as the offensive line faces the challenge of blocking Nick Bosa on Sunday.

RECAP: Seahawks vs Football Team - notes, quotes, and accuracy issues Dec 01, 2021

Show notes

The Seattle Seahawks have lost three straight games now after their 17-15 loss to the Washington Football Team. The two-point loss makes this game look as though it were a lot closer, because Seattle was dominated throughout the game. A late touchdown was taken off the board late in the game that allowed Seattle to engineer a drive that gave them an opportunity to tie in regulation. After that failed conversion, they may have had a chance to win had they lined up properly on special teams. Pete Carroll addressed what happened there after the game. Russell Wilson says his finger isn't a problem when it comes to his accuracy and Jordyn Brooks says he has improved his screen defense.

Seahawks players and coaches have sights set on winning out Nov 28, 2021

Show notes

The Seattle Seahawks are going to need a huge winning streak if they hope to remain in the playoff hunt. While many fans think our team's playoff hopes are dashed, some of the leaders on this Seattle team are talking as though it's still a possibility. McKissic and how Washington features him in their passing attack. Ryan Neal says the Football Team's quarterback is a player his teammates rally behind, and Pete Carroll says rookie Josh Johnson could see the field with Travis Homer and Rashaad Penny out this week.

3 IN, 3 OUT: On a very special episode . . . OMAHA! Nov 24, 2021

Show notes

OMAHA! (or whatever it is the Seahawks say). It's an audible edition of 3 IN, 3 OUT following the loss to the Arizona Cardinals. Colt McCoy is now a name that shall not be spoken and receives a new pseudonym, because Pete Carroll and the Seahawks seem to have no answer for the veteran journeyman quarterback. We talk about some of the biggest disappointments of the season to this point, some of the bright spots, and the idea of being on team "blow it up" with regard to the future of the franchise. Regardless of the future possibilities and knowing the draft pick goes to the New York Jets, is a 4-13 record preferred over an 8-9 record? We discuss this and leave the INs and OUTs this week to our Flock.

Pete Carroll is as frustrated as he's ever been during his time as Seahawks coach Nov 23, 2021

Show notes

The Seahawks struggled in the red zone against the Cardinals in the first half while the defense allowed Colt McCoy to lead two long, time-consuming drives. Seattle was unable to dig out of that hole in the second half and it left Pete Carroll frustrated and without may answers when speaking to reporters after the game. Tyler Lockett said that teams are consistently playing the Seahawks a certain way despite what they do when facing other teams. Russell Wilson seems to expect that we can expect this all to turn into an amazing comeback story. Let's hope so!
