2022 Seahawks Draft Preview: Interior offensive line Apr 20, 2022

Show notes

The biggest needs on offense for the Seahawks right now are on the offensive line. Maybe not necessarily at guard with Gabe Jackson and Damien Lewis on the roster and they also added veteran help at center with Austin Blythe. There are some prospects at center and guard who could be immediate upgrades if they are picked in the first round and down the draft board are players who could ultimately take over those spots. EJ Snyder of Bootleg Football joins the show to offer his evaluation of several players projected to play on the interior of the line.

2022 Seahawks Draft Preview: Running backs Apr 17, 2022

Show notes

After trading Russell Wilson to the Broncos, we should expect the Seahawks to focus on building a dominant run game. But with Chris Carson and Rashaad Penny's injury history, it shouldn't be out of the question for Seattle to draft running back early this year. How early though? EJ Snyder of Bootleg Football joins the show and says the expectation is that no running backs get drafted in the first round. Will Seattle be able to take their favorite from this class? We talk about EJ's favorite three backs as well as some players farther down the draft board.

3 IN, 3 OUT: Seahawks Top 3 Draft Picks Debate - Flock Plays GM Apr 13, 2022

Show notes

The Seattle Seahawks are set to pick in the top 10 for the first time since 2010. Since it was Pete Carroll's first year with the team, he didn't even have anything to do with the team picking that early. Where should to Seahawks go with the pick? Defense early and often? Go ahead and find the future quarterback? Or should they build an offensive line that is losing both starting tackles from last season? We bring in some picks based on listener suggestions on social media and discuss a potential draft strategy for the team and how it could impact the franchise moving forward.

Bobby Wagner signs with the Rams, DK trade rumors Apr 07, 2022

Show notes

Bobby Wagner is now officially a member of the Los Angeles Rams. Did the Seahawks even try to keep him around? Should they have tried or is there no threshold for determining which players should be allowed to retire with the team? One player the Seahawks seem to be content on keeping around is wide receiver DK Metcalf. Considering the salaries are skyrocketing at the position, would it be worthwhile to trade Metcalf now and add more draft capital to rebuild? The Seahawks may instead consider him a building block for the team moving forward.

New NFL OT rules, Pete Carroll says Seahawks don't intend to trade DK Mar 31, 2022

Show notes

The NFL is holding its annual meetings and they decided to make a change to the overtime rules based on some of the pressure from fans following the Bills loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. Did what happened in that game warrant a rule change or does the new rule recognize a continued shift in how the NFL places a premium on the importance of offense? Bobby Wagner met with the Ravens and Rams but still doesn't have a team. Are some of the new signings going to help this team more than what Wagner has meant to the Seahawks franchise? Finally, we talk DK Metcalf and why a potential trade should be off the table when it comes to one of the most talented players left on the team.
