SEAHAWKS Opponent Preview - Scouting The Lions Sep 13, 2023

Show notes

This week I'm joined by Chris Perfett of the Pride of Detroit podcast to break down this young, dynamic and up-coming Lions team.

They're JUICED coming off their season-opening win over the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs, and now they get to host the Seattle Seahawks in their home opener in front of a raucous, sold out crowd.

Meanwhile, the Seahawks limp into week 2 with major injury concerns and question marks all around after their dismal performance in the second half of their opening-week 30-13 loss to the Rams.

Chris gets us up to speed on which players to watch, and what the keys might be for the Lions as they take on the Seahawks Sunday at 10:00am PST.

RAPID REACTION: Seahawks dominated by Rams in stunning 30-13 loss Sep 11, 2023

Show notes

The Rams shocked the Seahawks today in Seattle, rolling them to the tune of a 30-13 win. Here's my RAPID REACTION including thoughts on....

**Did we overestimate this roster?

**Is it a talent issue, or coaching?

**Are the Rams better than we thought, or was this the ultimate flat performance?

**Who's to blame? Which players were no-shows, and why was it so much worse in the second half?

**Was this just one bad performance, or a bigger issue?

**What now? Can this team turn it around in time to compete in Detroit vs. the Lions next week?

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT: Previewing Seahawks vs. Rams with Jake Ellenbogen Sep 06, 2023

Show notes

For this one I'm joined by Jake Ellenbogen, who does such an outstanding job covering all things LA Rams, as the Seahawks get set to host their division rival at Lumen Field on Sunday.

A lot of these Rams names may not be familiar to you, and they'll be without star WR Cooper Kupp for this week 1 matchup, but some of the things Jake says about this young LA roster may give you pause before you go chalking this up as an easy win for your Seahawks.

Who steps up in Kupp's absence?
Which version of Cam Akers can we expect?
How healthy is Matt Stafford?
Is it "Aaron Donald and 10 other dudes" or is there more to this Rams defense?
How many games does Jake see the Rams winning (and for a bonus he gives us his Seahawks prediction also.) You may be in for a surprise.

Drake Thomas - Bobby Wagner's successor? Plus practice squad thoughts... Aug 31, 2023

Show notes

The Seattle Seahawks pulled off a major coup on Wednesday, claiming rookie ILB Drake Thomas on waivers after he was released by the Raiders (who wanted him back BADLY). Did they just find their future starting middle linebacker? One scouting source I talk to thinks so, and I'll share his report on Thomas in this episode.

Also.... the Seahawks filled out their 16-player practice squad. What do I like about it, and what do I think is still missing?

Plus, the latest on Seahawks injuries and how the roster may change yet again before they play the Rams in week 1.
