Rolling with the Facetime interviews, today's podcast features my good homie Jamie, host of the Jamie Orque Podcast. Jamie interviews a plethora of individuals in the hardcore community, and it felt good to finally get him on the show after him having me onto his podcast not only once, but two times. We talk about reaching to potential guests, the power of word of mouth in the hardcore scene, and why more people need to experience Disney Parks.

Staying at home is the sickest thing to do right now, and with that comes an excess amount of time for most. I've seen a plethora of people turning on their favourite hardcore sets to play throughout the day, and it inspired me to jump into the Scoped archive and highlight some of my personal favourites we've done over the years. On this podcast, we look at sets from bands like Terror, Swarm Beating, Cold Shoulder, and many more iconic Scoped sets paired with some director commentary from Spicy Spence. Thanks for being patient with our process right now, and I hope you enjoy this week's pod.
It's very apparent how Covid-19 is negatively affecting DIY music all around the world. I wanted to create a podcast that speaks to the climate we're in, and hopefully bring some value to those in isolation and or is feeling the effects of this outbreak. Thank you so much to Emma of DYING WISH, Andrew of I AM, and Cameron Nunez for sharing your perspectives with me for this episode.

While in Toronto for a quick weekend show trip, I got to sit down with a good homie I've been connecting with online for a minute now. Adam drums for Toronto's own, COLD SHOULDER, and is involved in a number of initiatives in the Ontario scene. We talked about when he first got into drumming, why he fucks with the Jacksonville Jaguars so much, and how he approached his band when he found out he was going to be a dad.

Super pumped about this week's podcast. If you’re a Calgarian, you might have seen Dan either rocking in his most recent project Monolith or snipping hair at Cannibale. On today’s podcast we talk about how skateboarding influenced his journey into music, we swapped some pretty hilarious show stories and talked about the pros and cons of being apart of a music community.
After a short break, we're back on the podcast horse. Today's episode features none other than Curtis Running Rabbit-Lefthand. If you live in Alberta, you know quite well that @curtislefthand has his hands full daily with many music industry things. He's one of the four @wildrosehardcorefest promoters, founded @indigenousresilienceinmusic (IRIM) in 2016, was recently named one of @avenuemagazine’s Top 40 under 40, and is involved in numerous other community-driven projects. Curtis and I discuss indigenous representation in hardcore, how he got into music growing up on the Rez, why music is important in Blackfoot culture, and so much more. On today's podcast, I got to sit down with not only a good friend, but a smart ass musician. Tyler plays in the Calgary metalcore band PLEAD, and has become a homie that I've gotten to work with over the past year or so. We talk about how Scoped has impacted the band through our videos, dubbed vs subbed anime, collecting Volkswagens, and a lot more.

We filmed 260 sets in 2019, and there are some videos we produced that became really near and dear to our hearts. On today's podcast, all the Scoped Crew gets together to recap some of our favourites from this past year. We dive into what was going through our minds while documenting, some of the production challenges with certain videos, and a lot more. We also reviewed some of the videos that our Instagram audience said were their favourites, as well as some bands who really impressed us in 2019. This is a beefy episode, so strap the fuck in.
