It was the summer of 1974. The day couldn’t be more perfect for Mary-Ann Pryor and Lorraine Kelly to go out and have fun. The two best friends had planned to go together to the Garden State Plaza, a mall in Paramus, New Jersey.

Since they couldn’t get a ride with Mary-Ann’s older sister, Nancy, they decided to catch a bus to the establishment, which was miles away from their home in North Bergen.
What their families didn’t know was that this day would be the last they would see the girls alive. Five days later, on August 14, 1974, the bodies of two teenagers were found dumped in a wooded area behind an apartment parking lot in Montvale, New Jersey. The victims were later identified by the police to be Pryor and Kelly. They were both lying facedown on the ground, side by side, like two abandoned rag dolls.

1. Convicted Killer Admits to 6 Unsolved Pennsylvania Murders (Edward Surratt)

Pennsylvania has its own fair share of some of the most frightening, mysterious and downright bizarre murder crimes. In the Keystone State resided one of the most infamous killers to ever roam the territory. However, his exploits weren’t known right away, as it was only later on when the public learned about the brutal killings he committed in the 1970s.
2. Identity of a Missing Woman's Severed Head Found in 2017 Now Known (Sally Ann Hines)

In March 2018, a litter abatement team from the Cameron Parish Sheriff's Department found a plastic bag off Highway 27 in Cameron Parish, Louisiana. They were cleaning up a marshy area when they made the startling discovery. Inside the abandoned receptacle was a person's severed head. A homicide investigation was immediately conducted. Countless tips were given to the sheriff's office but so far, the information yielded nothing.

It is said that out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Weeks before the tragic incident, a man named Arnold Tenorio had been posting numerous status updates on Facebook where he talked about death and committing suicide.

1. The Mystery Behind the Murders of Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman
Teenage girls Lauria Bible and Ashley Freeman were two inseparable beings whose fates got embroiled in a conflict that didn't concern them in the first place.
On December 29, 1999, high school girls Lauria and Ashley spent the night together celebrating the latter's sixteenth birthday at the Freemans’ mobile home in Vinita, Oklahoma.
Earlier that day, the two went out together to eat at a local pizzeria. It was a moment of bliss for the youngsters, who had been the best of friends since kindergarten.
2. The Horrifying Twist of the 1982 Guanella Pass Rescue
In January 1982, Harold E. Bray, the sheriff of Jefferson County in Colorado, was on board a flight bound for California. As his United Airlines flight passed over the 10,000-foot Guanella Pass, he noticed flashes of light.
The lights flashed in patterns: three short, three long, then three short again. Without a doubt, it was an "SOS," a call for help. The local deputy quickly alerted the flight captain who in turn reported to the authorities on the ground.

There’s a lot to remember about the Great Depression of the 1930s. Aside from the financial crash that the United States suffered, there's also the infamous criminal duo Bonnie and Clyde Barrow. They were known for their exploits: robbing banks and gas stations, as well as allegedly killing people.

1. Woman Found Inside a Freezer (Talina Galloway)
News from around the country recently put the spotlight on a woman who was charged with murder after her roommate had gone missing. Although the details are still currently being ironed out, they could give you an overview of how horrific the case is.
It all started on June 8, 2020. A witness reportedly saw a truck and its white cargo trailer abandoned in a secluded area around the Oachita National Forrest, south of Mena, Arkansas. Suspicion prompted the unnamed person to inspect the parked vehicle.
2. Underwater UFOs
Jeremy Corbell, a documentary filmmaker, was one of the first people to ever share footage of a UFO crashing into a body of water on social media. Her post has since garnered plenty of views and reactions. So much so that the Pentagon itself found the need to make confirmation on its existence as well as the authenticity of the video.
In a statement, the defense agency said that the video was indeed legitimate and was believed to be taken some time in 2019 by a US Navy personnel.
Mr. Corbell explained on Instagram that local authorities found no wreckage on the said water crash site. But the weirdness doesn’t end from that fact alone.

1. The Mystery Behind the Death by Arson of Michelle L. Halling
It was around past midnight of February 22, 1990, when firefighters were called to a house fire in Cottonwood Heights, in Salt Lake County, Utah. Neighbors reported to have heard screaming from the home of 28-year-old Michelle Halling.
Before the respondents arrived, the townsfolk attempted to break into the property to rescue whoever was trapped inside. But they couldn't get in. In a later inspection, it was found out that the doors appeared to have been barricaded.
2. US Serial Killer Nurse Gets Life
Nothing can be as chilling as when people whom we expect to be life savers turn out to be killers, using their extensive knowledge of human anatomy to purposefully cause injury and even bring death to their victims.
One such deranged human is a woman named Reta Mays. Her choice of victims was, sad to say, people who had done huge service for their country.
In 2015, Mays began her work as a nursing assistant at Louis A. Johnson Medical Center, a veteran’s hospital in West Virginia. She was specifically assigned in a ward wherein most of the population were diabetic patients.

1. The Grateful Dead Curse
The famous American rock band called the Grateful Dead had fans who called themselves Deadheads. It was around the 1970s, at the height of the group's popularity, that these fans began to travel to see them perform in as many shows as they could.
As the population continued to grow, a community of like-minded individuals developed. They basically dedicated their whole lives to their love of the band. But amidst this untamed devotion is a string of tragedies that even contemporary crime experts couldn’t seem to figure out.
In 1990, Douglas Simmons, a man from Florida, traveled to see a Grateful Dead show held at a university in Raleigh, North Carolina. During the event, Simmons told a few of his companions at the concert that he was leaving the area and heading to his car parked in a nearby lot. He was never again seen.
2. Murder of a Bridesmaid in Texas
On January 13, 1995, second-grade teacher Mary Catherine Edwards arrived home from school. She went out to take her dog for a quick walk. She got home again and poured herself a glass of wine. She then called her boyfriend. Unknowingly, this would be the last time she would be heard of alive.
The following day, the parents of the 31-year-old decided to go over to her place to check when she failed to return their calls. They were met with an inexplicable sight of their dead daughter in the bathroom upstairs. As described by the report, she was "draped over the edge of the bathtub with her head in the water, and her legs on the floor." She was found naked from the waist down and her hands were handcuffed behind her back.
