Episode 56 Dillon Boresek Dec 29, 2022

Show notes

Interviewing a 17-year-old who has owned 9 Hinkle trout and a mother chaser.... oh and he lives in Oregon. All I can say is this episode Dillon blows my mind in more ways than one and I even learn some new stuff from this episode. Dillon is a true hammer and I can't wait to see what 2023 has in store for him, hopefully, we can see the next Oregon state record get posted by him! Don't be fooled by his lack of posts, he knows what he's doing and he's keeping it under wraps very well.

Episode 52 Sherpa Swimbaits Dec 12, 2022

Show notes

To start off this show note all I can say is you must listen to this episode uninterrupted for the first 25-30 ish minutes. Passang's story is unlike anything you've heard on the show and I think it's probably the coolest story we will ever hear on Scales N Tales. good, now that the important part of this is out of the way I can elaborate on the rest of this episode lol. Passang and I take a huge dive into what he's done to get sherpa where it's at today. This man really knocks the RnD part of bait-making out of the park. Testing baits for a whole season before he even makes them public knowledge half the time. That's something you don't always see a lot of in the building world, an I think that's what makes sherpa baits Stand out so much to me. Passang is busting his hump to make sure everything he puts his name on and sells is 1000% ready to target the fish of your dreams.

Episode 51 Sly Guy Lures Dec 05, 2022

Show notes

Mr.Clayton Sly joins me on this show to explain his beginnings in the swimbait-building world. If you've ever seen a bait of his there's a good possibility you were shocked at not only the realistic features but the spot-on paint too. It's hard enough to mimic the swim and even shape of a fish but when you hit the realistic paint on the head its a recipe to becoming a well-known bait builder that's for sure.

Episode 50 Seth Nighswonger Dec 01, 2022

Show notes

Episode 50, what a way we've come. Can't believe you guys enjoy me spitting random fish words and ideas into a microphone but yet here we are.

Seth Nighswonger..... nicewonger?..... Nicewang? In an easier use of words the guy who's fished coast the coast. Growing up by Disneyland and within walking distance of a couple of bodies of water sounds like a hard come-up. Working at a tackle shop and making some pretty legit connections from a young age as well. getting big into sports fishing then decided to move cross country to the land of lovers VA. Seth has some ideas and knowledge of how fish work, we touch on all that while exposing ourselves to how badly the Public school system dropped the ball on teaching us where the hell states, cities, and providences are.
