THE LIGHT AT THE END OF SUFFERING: How much more can I take?

    with special guest Peg O'Connor

In Higher and Friendly Powers, Peg O’Connor addresses an audience much like herself: those in recovery who have struggled with the Christian-centric God at the heart of Alcoholics Anonymous. She brings our attention to a little-known fact: the term “higher power,” a touchstone in the twelve steps of Alcoholics Anonymous, was coined by William James, philosopher, psychologist, and intellectual giant of the early 20th century.

Andrea and Peg discuss how to transform suffering.

RECOVERY: Not Just for the Addict Oct 13, 2022
    Show notes

    Hey there, Andrea Syedel here.

I am the author and podcast host of Saving You is Killing Me: Loving Someone with an Addiction.

I used to despise when someone told me I needed recovery when I was not the one with the addiction. As if I need more shame, blame and turmoil while loving or, in my case, losing someone to addiction. But then I shifted my perspective and realized just how powerful it is to recover who you were and take back your power from someone else addiction. Listen in to discover how this slight shift of perspective can help you!

Recovery is for everyone, especially if you love or have lost someone to addiction.

    Sending Hugs Andrea
