    About Susie

    Blog | Facebook | Twitter | Instagram

I've loved reading for as long as I can remember. Some of my fondest childhood memories involve long afternoons at the library and then reading late into the night. More than ten years ago, I began journaling about the books I read and turned that passion into writing about books. My first forays were as a guest reviewer on a friend's blog, but I soon realized I wanted to be reviewing and talking about books on a blog of my own. From there, Novel Visits was born. That was in 2016 and, though the learning curve was steep, I love being a part of the book community. Novel Visits focuses on new novel reviews (print and audio), previews of upcoming releases, and musings on all things bookish.

    About Allison

    Blog | Pinterest | Twitter

Allison writes at Mind Joggle about books, reading, writing, creativity, learning, and anything related and in between.

She's always said that her dream job would be reading books for a living.

She didn't quite go either route, opting instead for a "practical" writing career that more easily pays the bills. Nonetheless, those dreams of long, cozy days composing the stories that play out in her head persist—as does her love of great books, writing stories, learning interesting things, and discussing it all with others.

About The Pingel Sisters (Jaclyn and Rachael)

    Blog | Instagram | Pinterest| Twitter| Facebook

    About Jaclyn

Jaclyn and her husband Steve met while studying psychology in college. They graduated together and were married the very next day. From there, they decided Steve would get a PhD while Jaclyn would pursue her career in higher education fundraising. She's currently the Annual Giving Manager at UNC School of the Arts – a fabulous job where she can combine her nonprofit expertise with her love for the arts. Of the two of us, Jaclyn is much more the creative soul behind our blog inspiring all our visuals as well as our overall vision for our book blog.

Jaclyn and Steve are the proud parents of an energetic Little Boy, a dog and two cats. You'll often find Jaclyn volunteering at a local nonprofit, re-reading her favorite books again and again, convincing herself she likes the gym, or playing Pokemon Go.

    About Rachael

Ever since started this book blog, people often ask Rachael if she studied English or writing in college. Actually, Rachael graduated with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. She still acts as a math tutor for the neighborhood kids from time to time. In fact, her math degree has given her computer programming experience and a meticulous eye for detail. All these skills have combined to make her excellent at all the behind-the-scenes aspects of blogging.

Rachael currently lives in Utah, married to her favorite person in the entire world – Mark, the engineer. (Though, Jaclyn comes in at a close second.) They have four adorable little children ages 7 and under. Rachael loves to read in her pajamas, explore the outdoors with her little ones, and scheme up vacations to every inch of the globe.

    About Meredith

    Instagram

Meredith Monday Schwartz is a married mom of 4 and full-time CEO of a large wedding website. She lives in the SF Bay Area and loves the cool temperatures and high number of bookstores that make up the gorgeous place she calls home. She's been an avid reader since she was 4. She's a very introverted INFJ, so she reads to re-charge. Her very favorite thing to do if she's not reading is… wait for it… to talk about books! She's so grateful that, in Kaytee, she's found the perfect partner.

    About Kaytee

    Instagram | Blog | Twitter| Goodreads

Kaytee is married to her best friend, a mama of 4 littles, a big fan of Jesus, and a homeschool mom and director (kind of like the principal of our homeschool co-op). She tries not to lose her mind while juggling all these roles by reading books. She's attempting to reach "professional" reading level by regularly devouring 200 or more books in a calendar year! She's an ESFJ, Type A, Enneagram 2w1, Obliger who obviously loves personality tests. She enjoys being around people, but her favorite thing to talk to those people about is…books!

    About Christine

    Instagram | Blog | Twitter | Pinterest

I am a MLIS graduate from the University of South Florida. I have a BA in English and History from Smith College. The travel bug completely took over after my year as a Fulbright Scholar in Depok, Indonesia. In Indo, I taught English at a public high school. Basically, I posed as Miss America for the year. In reality, I played a lot of Uno, read the entire Sookie Stackhouse series, and stood in front of 600 students each week, wildly gesturing and sweating. Best job and experience in my life to-date.

I hold certifications in TEFL and Youth Development. In the office-like world, I possess more than 10 years of urban program management experience. My work focused on literacy and teaching. In addition, I spent five years in the public library systems.

Today, I am a board member for a nonprofit that brings the joys of reading to families. When not promoting literacy, I parade around (more like beach down) as a pilot's wife with four furry children in the sunshine state. Obsessions include: YA books, brewery yoga, olives, decorating my home with owl everything, caticorns, and Sicily. I have a reputation for finding breweries and wineries anywhere I go.
