Ep 543 | Trump Goes to War with Twitter May 28, 2020

Show notes

Twitter decided to fact-check President Trump after he tweeted about mail-in ballots. The fact-checkers that Twitter used were CNN and the Washington Post. Since Twitter is a private company, do you think it should continue to fact-check the president? Mail-in ballots might happen during the 2020 election, and not everybody is on board. A mail carrier in West Virginia was charged with an attempt to defraud the residents of West Virginia of a fair election. Riots are happening in Minneapolis after the death of George Floyd, who was arrested and pinned to the ground by a police officer's knee. Floyd said he couldn't breathe and later died. The CDC now confirms that the coronavirus death rate is remarkably lower than estimated. Four professors are projecting that 65,000 lives will be lost per month if the lockdown continues. Ep 541 | Joe Biden: 'You Ain’t Black' if You Vote for Trump. Say What?! May 23, 2020

Show notes

While some experts say that a second wave of COVID-19 will hit the U.S., President Trump has declared, "We're not going to close the country." Doctors now say they are seeing more deaths from suicide than from the coronavirus. Did we make a mistake by closing America and making people stay at home? About 4,300 patients recovering from the coronavirus were sent to nursing homes in NY, and that caused more problems. Where is Gov. Cuomo on this and why isn’t he being held responsible? Once again Joe Biden is making a fool of himself, this time in front of black radio host Charlamagne Tha God. Sleepy Joe said if black voters have a problem deciding whether to vote for him or Trump, then they "ain't black." In the same interview, he said that people in jail have something in common, and that's "they can't read." Is Joe Biden losing the black vote? Are we going to see a Biden/Klobuchar ticket in November 2020?

Show notes

Another 2.4 million people applied for unemployment, bringing the total to 38 million people. Will these jobs bounce back once the virus is over? And how much blame for the economy lockdown falls on President Trump? Four states have been miscounting test results for each patient who has the coronavirus, counting both antibody test results and viral test results, making it seem like our numbers are higher than they really are. Was this really just an oversight? Minnesota Gov. Walz says to go ahead and gather in restaurants, but churches? Better not. And lastly, New York Gov. Cuomo actually attempts to blame President Trump for the nursing home deaths in New York rather than taking the blame himself. When in doubt, blame Trump, right?

The scary part is that we shut down our economy based on hunches.
