Growing up I hated my short 4c hair and stepping into vulnerability was so hard for me. Constantly hearing insults towards my hair sent me into a deep depression and so much so I never thought I would ever find freedom, liberation and deep self-love with my hair. Weaves, wigs and trying to upkeep societal standards is exhausting and as black women we are conditioned to constantly perform. I am allowed to rest, be vulnerable and live life authentically and truthfully. In this podcast ep we will discuss the history behind the self-hate with our hair and how to come into a deep self-loving union. My hair is so sacred and so is yours <3

I would love to thank the sponser of today’s podcast ep! “V’s hidden gems”. Her products are amazing and the serenity oil I bought was so fully nourishing to my skin. Growing up with eczema I always had a hard time finding oils and lotions made for my skin. This oil however saved my life! I loved the breast massages I gave myself with her oil. After a fresh shower her oil was so rejuvenating to my skin.
