    Rotary in Australia began 100 years ago. To commemorate the occasion and to encourage greater public awareness of the wide range of causes and achievements by Rotarians, Peter Brown from Caboolture in Queensland is driving all over Australia in a 1991 Holden Commodore Station Wagon. The car is painted a bright canary yellow and is adorned with Rotary branding, raising eyebrows wherever it goes and giving Peter a perfect opportunity to spread the news about Rotary.     Supporting Children and Young Adults with Autism. Jenny Loughnan, Giant Steps Jun 18, 2021

    One in a hundred people have an autism spectrum disorder. It occurs in all racial, ethnic and social groups and is four times more likely to affect boys than girls. Many people with ASD may be over or under sensitive to sight, touch, smell, sound, temperature and pain. Because of these sensory imbalances they often experience overwhelming anxiety, frustration and confusion when faced with the demands of everyday life. Jenny Loughnan, Head of Primary at Giant Steps a specialist school for people with ASD explains the condition and the services provided by this one of a kind school.
