    Ron starts this episode talking about a chat with a friend at his Cross Fit gym regarding leasing versus buying a vehicle; which is better? He opens the phones today with a call on a 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty Pickup truck where the caller changed the fuel filter and then had some problems getting the truck to start & run. Ron goes over some of the resolution options and ends up pointing out flaws by design in the priming procedure; as published by Ford Motor Company. Next, Ron travels down South and takes a call on a 2017 Chevrolet 1500 Silverado that was recently purchased from a car rental company fleet. The engine had problems with the AFM (Active Fuel Management) system and needed valvetrain repair. The caller opted for AFM elimination with a different camshaft and lifters along with a software upgrade. Since then it has other issues and he needs Ron's help to gain a diagnostic direction. The Car Dr concludes the hour "In The Shop" courtesy of AutoZone talking about marine batteries and their availability.

    Ron picks up the phones right away this hour. Dan from Wisconsin is first up in this look back to October 10, 2014. Dan is considering buying a 2013 Cadillac buyback vehicle. A good deal based on a cheap price, or not? Is it worth its advertised "ridiculously low price". Its a new car turn in from the first owner that GM is selling but now repaired. Is it really fixed? How can Dan be sure? Ron walks Dan and all of us through his thought process and concerns. Then Ron talks to a listener from PA about his 2010 Chevy Malibu discussing air filters; when to change, what to use, high flow filters and and the benefits of all of it. After the break the Car Doctor goes back to Wisconsin and talks to Jason about his 2001 Ford Taurus with both EGR and miss fire fault codes. Its a diagnosis on air as Ron takes us all along with both specific and general diagnostic routines to properly repair a vehicle. There is also a second half to this last call for this segment which will be posted in the next edition of Classic Car Doctor. Look for it soon.

He then talks to Arlene from Michigan. She is having an issue with her 1999 Volvo 5 speed that has a random ABS, Traction control light coming that no one can give her a direction or diagnosis. Ron cautions her and offers some insight on why the dealer may be approaching it incorrectly.

    Todays Classic Car Dr episode begins with Ron's telling of the tale and answers the question of what is the hardest vehicle to repair. A 2000 Ford E150 Van with a new engine that doesn't run and was towed in from another shop. He walks us through some detailed diagnosis and provides the how and why along the way. He also dives into an explanation of how and why a vehicle computer fault code occurs.

    He opens the phones with a call this episode that comes from Vic in Idaho with concerns about his 2011 Ford Taurus SHO. With only 6000 miles on the odometer he is concerned about what fluids he should be changing now based on time; 4 years old. Remember, this is Classic Car Dr. Ron explains to all listening his choice of fluids to change and the reasons behind it by discussing some of the ways he maintains his hot rod.

    Ron starts this episode talking about Kia recalling Telluride vehicles that can roll away when placed in park. Next, its a return call from Esther to say thank you for Ron's help in finding a climate control module for an 03 Anniversary Edition Corvette. She was able to find the part and wants everyone to know where she found it. Ron then goes into a talk about a vehicle in the shop this week, an 06 Magnum SRT8 and how it was hard to find parts, even simple ones like lug nuts; even Chrysler had trouble coming up with them. His next problem to solve this week is a call on a 17 Kia Sportage that has had 2 cylinder head failures and goes into limp mode. Ron call s them like he sees them and challenges the caller to take umbrage with the repair shops description. Ron then goes back in time and takes a call on a 94 Civic with intermittent start and helps break it down into simple for all to hear. Ron then recounts finding a correct battery for a 2019 Toyota RAV4 by using www.autobatteries.com as a reference source. He also talks about a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe that had a loud whirring noise and the steps he went through to solve. He closes out the hour answering an email on 02 E-150 van where the person changed the gear ratio in the rear differential and is looking to calibrate the speedometer correctly.

He recounts a car from the shop this week as an example; a 2016 Mini Cooper with a rear wiper problem. Then he takes a call on an 2007 Mustang GT500 where the cruise control is not working. Ron then talk to a listener that has a whistling 2011 Jeep Wrangler Sport, even if the car is not moving. In the news this week Ron covers a story of a possible power emergency in the Texas electrical grid and how it could be related to the EV world. He closes out this hour answering an email on a 2004 Chrysler PT Cruiser and a question on changing the timing belt and also discusses a recent tech tip from the ALLDATA technical library where a 2018 Ford F150 goes into limp mode due to a computer network problem and what steps need to be take to diagnose it.
