The NAACP is suing Mississippi's governor and other officials over a new law that will expand the jurisdiction of the state-run Capitol Police in Jackson, Mississippi, and create a temporary court within a Capitol Complex Improvement District covering a portion of Jackson. We will speak with a state senator about how this will hurt the state's capital, a majority-black city.

The Virginia Senator is calling out fellow democrats. She says Northern Democrats are blocking Black leaders out of key positions. Virginia Sen. Louise Lucas will be here to explain why she feels targeted.

Emilia Strong Sykes wants the DOJ to investigate the patterns and practices of the Akron Police Department. The Walker family attorneys will tell us what's next in the fight for justice for Jayland.

Leaked audio has surfaced from Mccurtain County, Oklahoma, of four county officials complaining about being unable to lynch black people and killing black journalists. We will play you a piece of that audio and tell you how the county is fighting to get the officials to resign.

The white Missouri man who shot a black teen in the head for mistakenly being at the wrong house is finally in custody. I'll talk with Ahmaud Arbery's mother about what needs to be done to keep our black males safe from being hunted and killed.

In tonight's MarketPlace, a mom who used faith to help her daughter beat a severe illness is now using her Non-profit organization Hoodies 4 Healing Foundation to serve over 40,000 homeless Texas men, women, and children.

An Ohio grand jury ruled the eight officers involved in the shooting death of 25-year-old Jayland Walker last summer will not face charges.

Protesters in Kansas City, Missouri, filling the streets after a black honor student and talented musician, Ralph Paul Yarl, was shot by a white homeowner as he went to the wrong house to pick up his siblings. The family's attorney, Ben Crump, will give us an update.

California State senator introduces a bill to help identify and find missing black people. We will speak with the lawmaker behind the proposed Ebony Alert bill to assist law enforcement agencies in prioritizing missing people in our communities.

In Texas, a black woman is sentenced to prison for voting. Tomorrow, her case goes before the second Court of Appeals in Fort Worth. Crystal Mason's attorney will update us on the case and tell us what she hopes to come out of tomorrow's hearing.

We will follow another story out of Texas involving a Texas school district investigating one of its teachers for allegedly making a black student portray an enslaved person during class.

The double standard in the American Justice system has been a problem for years. Still, an egregious case has emerged out of Texas, with a black man charged with a simple misdemeanor convicted to 70 years in prison. We will speak directly with the man's attorney about how they are trying to correct the outrageous ruling.

As Texas serves a black man with injustice, Texas Governor Greg Abbott is trying to get a white man who killed a BLM protestor pardoned. We will speak with a state representative about what is done to ensure the justice system works for Black Americans.

A historically Black college in Charlotte, North Carolina, has been denied tax exemption for 14 of the 24 parcels of land it owns due to not meeting statutory requirements for exemption. This could leave the college with a $127,000 property tax bill. The Barber-Scotia College Interim President and the Chair of the board will be there to tell us how the school is trying to appeal the tax-exempt denials to the Board of Equalization and Review.

United States Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas is facing allegations of corruption after failing to report 20 years of donor gifts and trips. Elie Mystal, Justice Correspondent for The Nation, will explain the historical significance and why an overhaul of court ethics laws and requirements is needed.

In our education matters segment, we'll highlight an organization helping families prepare their children for college. The founder of The Collegiate Hustle will explain how her organization supports middle-class families in preparing their children for a holistic college experience.
