We have some economists here to break the numbers down. The Department of Justice will pay the families of nine people murdered in a racist attack at a Black South Carolina church $88 million over a faulty background check that allowed Dylann Roof to purchase the gun he used in the 2015 massacre. Associated Press reporter Meg Kinnard, who's been following this story, will join us to talk about this huge settlement. He spent 45 years in prison for murdering his wife. Today, he was found not guilty of the crime. We'll have the details of an Ohio man who never should have been arrested in the first place. The FDA & the CDC say you can get the Moderna booster if you got the Pfizer vaccine. But is it a good idea? We'll ask a doctor if mixing and matching vaccines make sense. In one year, more than 10 million people encounter a domestic violence situation. A clemency hearing for Oklahoma death row inmate Julius Jones was postponed while his legal challenge is pending in federal court. Julius' sister is here to tell us how he's holding up as his time is running out. Stacey Abrams' political organization donates over a million dollars to help pay off their medical debts. Five years ago, a Georgia man was shot 59 times. A grand jury just indicted the officers responsible for his death. Also, in Georgia, a judge declares a mistrial in the murder trial of three former white Washington County Sheriff's officers accused of tasing a black man to death. The corner says his death was caused by drowning, but his family believes something sinister happened. A Wisconsin judge rules defense attorneys can call the men shot by a white man 'rioters,' 'looters,' or 'arsonists' at trial, but no one can refer to them as victims. A federal lawsuit filed in Texas wants to overturn the state's GOP-drawn redistricting map for Congress. We'll have the President & CEO of the National Coalition on Black Civic Participation, Melanie Campbell, talk about voting rights. The clemency for death row inmate Julius Jones has been postponed until a judge can decide if Jones can be added back to a lawsuit about execution methods. We'll take a look at a survey that says 911 dispatchers are not prepared to handle calls dealing with behavioral health crises.

10.25.21 #RolandMartinUnfiltered: The students at one of the most prestigious HBCU's are protesting living conditions and lack of voice. Students have taken to sleeping outside to get the administration's attention to address what they are calling "poor" and "unlivable" conditions in the college dormitories. It's something we've all thought happened; now, organizers of the January 6 insurrection are confirming several top Republicans helped them plan the violent attack. President Biden highlights how his domestic policy agenda would benefit Americans as Democrats try to reach a deal on the president's social spending and climate package. Jury selection for the trial of the three white men charged with chasing and killing Ahmaud Arbery enters into its second week. A former Georgia prosecutor will explain why it's taking so long to seat this jury. Some Louisiana fathers saw a need and jumped into action. We'll have the founders of Dads on Duty, the fathers who intervened after violence spikes at Louisiana high school. In our Live Fit Win segment, Gym Jonez will take on "the miseducation of the Black diet" by giving us three principles we can integrate into the Black culture without putting ourselves at risk of diabetes and high blood pressure.

10.21.21 #RolandMartinUnfiltered: For the next few days, voting rights activists will be trekking 70-miles from West Virginia to Washington, D.C., to urge lawmakers to pass federal voting rights legislation. We'll be joined by one of those activist from the "Freedom to Vote" Relay. A. Scott Bolden, the attorney for Baltimore State's Attorney Marilyn Mosby, says the Criminal Tax Division of the U.S. Department of Justice is pursuing perjury charges against her for her signature on documents. Still, investigators refuse to tell him anything more. He'll join us to tell us what's really happening with this investigation. The NFL agrees to end race-norming. A former NFL player and his wife will tell us about the $1 billion settlement. High-profile death row inmate Julius Jones asked an Oklahoma City federal judge for a temporary stay of his execution as his clemency hearing is set to take place next week.

Representatives of different faith communities, civil rights activists, and others gathered for the 10th dedication anniversary of the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial. We'll show you some of the festivities that took place today in D.C.And this may be the craziest ass white people segment ever. A California teacher uses an offensive "dance" to teach a math concept. Three Washington County officers are on trial for the death of a black man who they repeatedly shocked with stun guns for walking down a road. The other, the Glynn County Superior Court "mistakenly" provided potential jurors access to suppressed evidence in the murder trial of the three white men accused of killing Ahmaud Arbery on its website. Are Philadelphia's forfeiture laws giving law enforcement officers a license to steal? Two Pennsylvania lawmakers will join us to explain why officers can keep the property of those who were never convicted of a crime. The Hawaii ACLU says the civil rights of a 10-year-old black girl were violated when she was detained and questioned without a parent present for a drawing. In our Tech Talk segment, the Plug Me In App creator says it lets you keep in touch with your real-life social network. He'll tell us how.

As the Senate is getting ready to vote on the Freedom to Vote Act, the voting rights bill the Republicans are promising to filibuster tomorrow, folks flocked to the White House to demand Congress pass the legislation. Pastor Jamal Bryant, who was at today's protest, will join us as well as Pennsylvania's House Minority Leader pushing for the federal law to help ease voting restrictions across the country.

In Tennessee, a white juvenile court judge jailed kids under 12 for a nonexistent law. The co-founder of a Nashville Civil Rights Group and a Black juvenile judge will be here to tell us how this happened and the ramifications of putting children that young in juvenile detention.

The family of a South Carolina black man who died while in custody in the Charleston County jail is demanding criminal charges for those responsible for killing Jamal Sutherland.

A Virginia man shot by a sheriff's deputy shot is suing the department for $14-million.

Elijah McClain's family settles its federal lawsuit with the city of Aurora for his death.
