This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Metallica documentary Some Kind of Monster. The documentary focuses on the band's struggle to create their album St. Anger, and all the drama that surrounds it. Since we couldn't be live this week, we here at RIP a Livecast thought this would be a great opportunity to do a pre-taped episode of the show where we hit play on the movie and just do a two-hour long running commentary of the movie as we watch it. So kick back, grab some popcorn and hit play and hear us spend two hours shitting on Some Kind of Monster.
We'd really appreciate your feedback for this episode. Did you enjoy listening along? Did you listen without watching the doc or with the doc playing at the same time as us? Should we do something like this again for other documentaries and movies? Let us know in the comments.
Oh, and we found this perhaps not-legal stream of the movie online, should you want to watch along and not own your own copy…
