Bands on the Ruin - THE FINALE Jan 26, 2024

Show notes

In 2001 VH1 debuted the show Bands on the Run. It was a massive hit, yet it only lasted one season... We felt like it needed much more attention.

In the wake of Flickerstick's reunion (long after Soulcracker, Harlow, and Josh Dodes threw in their towels), we have decided to break down this insanely dated time-capsule of what-the-f*ckedness and talk with other touring musicians, friends, and music journalists about what they got wrong and what they got right.

For this episode Ian, Nat, and Ross are forced to close this chapter of their lives with the finale episode(s) and last battle of the bands.

You can watch every episode of the show for free on youtube HERE. Catch up and catch the magic.

Ross put out an album under the name COGENTS. It's available wherever you listen to music and highly recommended for those looking to scratch their ambient itch.

Ian has some MUST LISTEN TO MUSIC over at the Interesting Times Gang Bandcamp Page.

Nat and Ian have some tunes you must check out. Keep up with all things Strangelight by Checking out their BANDCAMP page for all the details.

Show notes

J. Robbins is likely a household name for any true music fan. Joe Hall should be right up there with him. They are celebrating the release of their third LP, "Silver Zebra", THIS friday via Defend Vinyl Records, and will be throwing some release parties early november WITH J. Robbins and his incredible band.

It is in your best interests to listen to ALL of Hammer No More the Fingers's music, wherever you do that these days, as they have not had a miss in their catalogue so far; AND much of that has to do with their 15-year, working relationship with J. Robbins! So this is a fascinating conversation for anyone in a band that wants to get an in depth look into the journey behind some of music's best offerings ever.

Get all things Hammer No More the Fingers at their Bandcamp Page and tickets do their release shows at Rubies here.
