From 'Baseball Isn't Boring' (subscribe here): If there was one place to be in the baseball world Monday it was Citi Field, with two of the most polarizing teams in all of MLB — the Mets and Padres — facing off for the first time since last year's National League Wild Card Series. To top things off, the pitching showdown included Yu Darvish and Max Scherzer.

Bradfo catches up with Padres GM A.J. Preller to talk about baseball's acceptance of players such as the two starters, who will be counted on more than ever heading into their 40s. We also hear from Scherzer after his win, with Bradfo then reuniting with spring training favorite Brandon Nimmo. And to top things off, there is a fascinating conversation with Padres pitcher Nick Martinez about how he evolved while navigating the differences between Japan and United States. The Baseball Isn't Boring studio hit the road, and, boy, was it worth it.
