On today’s Rickey Smiley Morning Show, listeners explored four compelling headlines. First, Diddy’s ex-girlfriend, Gina Huynh (formerly “Victim 3” in the case), has written a personal letter to the judge urging he be released on bail prior to his October sentencing. In the letter, she describes him as a “family man” who has reformed and poses no danger to the community, signaling a sharp contrast from her earlier allegations during the trial.
Next, rapper Trick Daddy made waves when he shared on the Nene Leakes show that he prefers dating women under age 35, citing his personal values and lifestyle preferences—prompting debate about ageism and dating norms in entertainment culture. In broader news, Black unemployment rates have surged to their highest levels since the pandemic, and many analysts point to the rollback of DEI practices as a contributing factor, particularly affecting Black women in the workforce.
