    Rich In Real Life Podcast

After 4 years of embracing our stuck through The Stranded Phase podcast, it’s time we shift and decide to change our own narrative. For those who’ve followed along on this journey, this doesn’t mean we won’t be met with pain, we won’t get hurt, or we won’t go through transitional periods, it means its time we invite wealth into our life in all forms.

A long and unsolicited healing journey led Jessica to realize that being RICH has nothing to do with money. Money is the by product. This long and necessary invitation sent her searching inwards and eventually brought her to finding happiness in being RICH in connection, RICH in community, RICH in soul, RICH in love, RICH in spirit, RICH in family, and so much more.

From EMDR therapists, relationship coaches, neurologists, 7 figure earners, Shamans, and soul thrilling conversations her goal is to help you put words to feelings you’ve felt but may not understand. This podcast includes but is not limited to everyone she is connected with that helped change her life. From dear friends in business to people she trusts you will be invited into HONEST conversations around growing, evolving, and dealing with personal and professional journeys at the same damn time.

Doing Your Homework: How to Heal with Triggered AF Jul 05, 2022
    Show notes

This episode flips the script as Jessica sits down with the Triggered AF podcast for a dose of her infamous vulnerability and raw honesty about just how hard healing and the journey from stranded to rich in real life can be.

Because let’s be real…healing sucks. There is no one-size-fits-all approach, and it certainly isn’t linear. And believing we all need to hear and see that more, tune in as these three powerhouse women speak to the pain of breaking patterns, what healing work really looks like, and what their pain has taught them the most.

As they all know too well, “you are only as healed as your next trigger.”

    KEY POINTS:

    - Healing is not a one size fits all process!

    - The catalyst that brought Jessica to her path of healing

    - Why breaking patterns can feel like dying 1000 deaths

    - Do you like the person you are becoming?

    - What is EMDR therapy? And other effective healing modalities?

    - Mastering your shadows and investing in yourself

    QUOTABLES:

“The real work begins when you are isolated for a little while and you don't like who you're becoming. And you realize everything that you are allowing in your life, the people you're allowing in your life, are all rooted in your trauma. It's all a reflection. The mirror you're creating is just more trash.”

“Pain is not a sign that something is wrong with you or that you are broken. Pain is an opportunity. It's an invitation for you to be like okay, something in my mind doesn't feel right; how can I address that.”

“People always say ‘feel the feelings.’ But what they really mean is process the feelings. And in order for you to process the feelings, you have to allow them to live their lifecycle.”

Permission to Be a Mess Jun 21, 2022
    Show notes

Get ready…it’s about to get real vulnerable in here…

Your girl Jess did it all - she learned and shared how to be broken and a boss, make six figures, grow, heal, and move on to become the best version of yourself. The work, works! So why was she left anxious and empty when everything she dreamed and begged for was finally coming true?

Sharing with you what she needs, tune in as Jess goes solo in this raw episode about “unbecoming,” hustling through pain, and why, coming full circle, she realized she was not ready to move on yet.

    KEY POINTS:

    - Is “fight or flight” and survival your baseline?

    - Why Jessica put her healing journey on hold

    - Hustling through feelings - does it really work?

    - “True healing never occurs until it’s on the soul level”

    - Rest, reflection, and restoration!

    QUOTABLES:

“The god I serve, he will not let me play in the wrong lane, and he will not let me move forward, press go, and go stage left until I learn this lesson.”

“These patterns said, you're avoiding the real soul healing. Your soul is screaming at you for a book of reasons. But if you keep avoiding true deep healing, you won't be able to function anymore. Eventually, your body's going to shut down.”

“The work works. You won't let the work, work for you. So what in your soul are you choosing to not deal with? What are you resisting? What in your soul are you avoiding?”

Dealing with Our Shadows: Are you Self-Guiding or Abiding with Elijah Rubin May 17, 2022
    Show notes

Friend, CEO of WIIN Investments, and sales expert Elijah Rubin joins your girl Jess in this episode where they talk anything but real estate! Her thought partner in crime, Elijah and Jess dive into healing and dealing in the shadow.

Tune in as the pair shed light on this often-ignored part of healing, urging all of us to strip back what others thinks of us and discover what’s really holding us back and the limitations we try to blame on the external world. Sharing their own experiences, get to know the old version of you that you may not like too much, and pull them out of the shadows. Because true healing is a journey of surrender to the unknown.

    KEY POINTS:

    - What is the shadow?

    - Why do we need shadow work?

    - Releasing the emotions stuck in our body

    - Are you keeping yourself busy, or are you fulfilled?

    - Is shadow work a solitary journey?

    - Victim to victorious - the power of surrendering

    QUOTABLES:

“When you're tired of going outside, you start looking inside, and I think that is where the magic happens. I think that's when you stop looking for the world to give you answers, and you go inside to find the answers.”

“Relive the stories that you told yourself and pull those thoughts out of the shadows. And say, is this self-serving me? Or is it self-defeating me? Because no one's gonna care about you, your past, and your future more than you. So why not take this time to invest in yourself?”

    Show notes

In this episode, your girl Jess gets personal as she welcomes back resident trauma and childhood wound expert Ludmila Woodruff. Always urging radical self-responsibility, Ludmilla explores how our pain, trauma, broken relationships, and the things we must constantly heal through affect us as parents. From pouring into yourself first to recognizing parenting as a relationship to embodying what you teach, tune in as Jess and Ludmilla share their own parenting challenges and why we must connect to ourselves and our needs in order to truly connect to our children and give them the best of ourselves.

    KEY POINTS:

    - Is the concept of parenting about the child or the parent?

    - How to balance pouring into your own cup and pouring into your child’s

    - What it means to become conscious in moments of unconscious triggers

    - Why parenting is a relationship, not something that we do

    - Should we hide our “negative” emotions from our children?

Battle of The Sexes: Men's Egos vs. Women's Success | Part 1 Apr 19, 2022
    Show notes

What the hell is going on when it comes to our culture and relationships?! It seems like a war out there, men and women competing with each other more than desiring to be in a union. So in this special episode, your girl Jess takes off the brakes and holds an open space for her group of guests to have a candid conversation about modern-day dating and relationships.

Tune in as your self-proclaimed “non-experts” discuss dating for alignment, marrying for potential, and the supposed three kisses of death in a relationship. Don't miss part one of this epic dialogue and learn why submission in marriage comes from both sides.

    KEY POINTS:

    - Are men and women in competition with each other?

    - Why are so many high-achieving women single?

    - Where does the independence stop and the relationship begin?

    - Changing the definition of what a man as a provider is

    - How to communicate not to defend but to dissolve the issue

    - What does submission in a relationship really mean? Is it necessary?

    - Can people really change for a relationship?

    QUOTABLES:

“Ideally, most of us are out here looking for a man on our caliber or better. We're like, either be at my level because I've done this hard work, or lead me to a higher level. Take me to the next level, right?”

“I had to change my definition of what being a man as the provider is. Because we always think ‘I provide’ is something physical or tangible. And it's probably 10% physical, 90% emotional and mental. Because when I started taking care of my wife’s mind and her emotions, my marriage got exponentially better.”
