    Rich In Real Life Podcast

After 4 years of embracing our stuck through The Stranded Phase podcast, it’s time we shift and decide to change our own narrative. For those who’ve followed along on this journey, this doesn’t mean we won’t be met with pain, we won’t get hurt, or we won’t go through transitional periods, it means its time we invite wealth into our life in all forms.

A long and unsolicited healing journey led Jessica to realize that being RICH has nothing to do with money. Money is the by product. This long and necessary invitation sent her searching inwards and eventually brought her to finding happiness in being RICH in connection, RICH in community, RICH in soul, RICH in love, RICH in spirit, RICH in family, and so much more.

From EMDR therapists, relationship coaches, neurologists, 7 figure earners, Shamans, and soul thrilling conversations her goal is to help you put words to feelings you’ve felt but may not understand. This podcast includes but is not limited to everyone she is connected with that helped change her life. From dear friends in business to people she trusts you will be invited into HONEST conversations around growing, evolving, and dealing with personal and professional journeys at the same damn time.

Inevitable Failure And How To Best Handle It Jan 09, 2019
    Show notes

As were all joining in the Kumbaya of 2019, swearing we’ll change and being overly nice like it’s still Thanksgiving there is some bold truth you need to hear, it’s that you will fail. Failure for those who get out of fear and actually try is simply inevitable.

If this is the year you plan to build the life of your dreams, expect to fail. I actually don’t know anyone who hasn’t, myself included. Since failure is non-negotiable and will build the character I figured we could discuss a few misconceptions and how to best handle it.

Join me today as we discuss 3 misconceptions about failure and how to bounce back quickly when facing failure head on!

25 Things Even Your Grandma Wouldn't Give You Permission To Do in 2019. Dec 25, 2018
    Show notes

To best celebrate Christmas and the New Year, I figured it was only right to make sure I give you some good advice! If you need anything like the a*$ kicking I needed last year it needed to be revolutionary and aggressive.

So I decided while your sitting next to Grandma this year for Christmas, I'd give you permission to do 25 things differently in 2019 that even Grandma wouldn't allow.

Scratch tradition, manners, and expectations, there are some things I want to get off my chest about being "realistic" and why those things don't need to follow you into the new year. I'm praying you go into the New Year with a new attitude on this episode.

From cutting her own family off to push her dreams forward, to leaving a corporate job and taking a serving job just to build her business, this is truly the road map for what real successful entrepreneurship looks like, kinda like a roller coaster ride.

Don’t miss this episode opening you up to the real truth about what roadblocks to expect when building the life you’ve dreamt of.

15 min Friday - Why You Need To Redesign What Success Looks Like Dec 14, 2018
    Show notes

Last Friday we discussed recommitting to the goals that we fell short on last year and today we discuss re-evaluating our definition of success. It is too easy to get caught up in social norms and allowing them to define what success looks like until you look up after achieving everything and realize it is none of what you actually wanted.

The key to success is creating the right goals, but if your version of success wasn’t the right one you could have been taking the wrong steps all along. Sometimes falling short isn't due to poor action, it’s due to having the wrong end goal in mind.

I hope you take the next 15 minutes to decide if you need to re-evaluate what success means to you.

The One Thing We Must Teach Our Children With BeeFriendly Founder Kristi Kennedy Dec 11, 2018
    Show notes

In the month of December it's only right I do two things. Keep you in the know about what's going on in this crazy world and make sure I give you all the "feel good" content as we are in the holiday spirit.

Today's episode focuses on something we've all dealt with before and ultimately can't ignore, bullying. Almost all of us have once been bullied and if you haven't you might've been the bully. My guest today, Kristi Kennedy, gets vulnerable with us about how her ex-husband once being bullied eventually turned him into the family bully.

While this experience had quite the impact on Kristi and her children, Kristi used her experience to help others like her ex-husband and her by creating the BeeFriendly Network. The Beefriendly Network is an organization created to go into the schools once nominated by parents to help banish bullying for life, and they start as early as 6 years old.

So if you have young children please believe Kristi will break down for you how this is already an issue. To my surprise we even discuss how there are so many types of bullying and most of us don't even realize we are being bullied. We also discuss how bullying extends to adulthood and those effected are in our workplace.

Don't miss an opportunity to hear from a game changer like Kristi Kennedy!

15min Friday - Why You Fell Short on Your Goals This Year, And How To Re-evaluate in 2019 Dec 07, 2018
    Show notes

As we enter my favorite month, December, it’s time we get REAL about our plans for 2019. For this entire month, every Friday, my goal is to discuss something that will help you swing for the fences in 2019.

This Friday we are discussing your intentions and why you might not have got every one of those goals right from earlier this year. There’s a few important questions I want you to ask yourself when you re-evaluate those goals and intend to rewrite them and for you to consider that all of them may not be worth recommitting too.

The Power of Vulnerability with Jamie Ivey Dec 04, 2018
    Show notes

Today’s guest is a beautiful soul I’ve followed for years. Host of her own popular podcast, The Happy Hour, and author of “If you only knew.” A woman very open about her journey with GOD and a mother of 4 who married a pastor, her life sounds simple. However her love for vulnerability and ability to open up in her book is eye opening and should inspire all of us to have more authentic and honest conversations.

We discuss not being perfect and never being perfect as mothers or women and learning to own it. Her awe inspiring journey from soccer mom to radio DJ and now traveling speaker and podcast host with her own in person LIVE events will have you realizing the only person limiting you is yourself.

This episode isn’t the one to miss with the queen of the Happy Hour, Jamie Ivey.

Why "Being Yourself" Might Be Killing Your Growth Nov 27, 2018
    Show notes

This is my attempt to debunk how we glorify "being yourself" as the answer to all of our problems. I absolutely know it to be true that developing "self-love" comes from learning how to love and be yourself.

However, I have too many times heard "thats just who I am" used as an excuse for not being able to achieve something, avoiding the authentic truth, or taking responsibility for their actions. I want to make sure as we work on self-discovery we understand that who we are may have to evolve sometimes to become who we want to be.
