Good Morning America Says Goodbye to T.J. Holmes & Amy Robach Jan 30, 2023

Show notes

GMA3's T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach have been axed by ABC News. Last fall, the co-anchors made headlines of their own when it was reported that they were having an extra-marital affair. Since then, it’s been revealed that this is T.J.’s fourth relationship with a co-worker while married to his wife, Marilee Fiebig. After an exhaustive investigation into T.J. and Amy’s romance, and after what was apparently a very tense mediation session, ABC decided to pull the plug on the lovebirds. Show notes

Well, the nominations for the 95th Annual Academy Awards are out! This year’s ceremony will see a lot of fresh faces - 16 out of the 20 acting nods went to first-time nominees. Among the newbies are movie veterans Jamie Lee Curtis and Michelle Yeoh. Michelle also made history as the first Asian woman ever nominated for the Best Actress award. But it wouldn’t be the Oscars without controversial snubs…and this year is no different. There are no women nominated for Best Director, despite being at the helm of some of the most celebrated films of the year. So it looks like when it comes to the Oscars, the more things change, the more they stay the same.
