Chris Pratt’s Latest Shenanigans Have Brooke Tearing Up Apr 23, 2024

Show notes

Is Chris Pratt the neighbor from hell? The “Guardians of the Galaxy” star and his wife, Katherine Schwarzenegger, recently plopped down $12.5 million for a 1950s home in ritzy Brentwood, California - and then promptly tore it down. And now the couple is facing a ton of online hate for razing what SurveyLA called a “potentially historic home” and replacing it with a huge 15,000-square-foot two-story home. Looks like someone’s not a "guardian" of mid-century architecture.

Taylor’s New Album Takes Aim at Matty Healy and Kim K Apr 22, 2024

Show notes

Over the weekend, Taylor Swift dropped a new double album, “The Tortured Poet’s Department,” and her Swifties lost their minds. They’ve been examining the lyrics for clues as to who she’s singing about. They’re calling attention to references about two of Taylor’s exes, Joe Alwyn and Matty Healy, as well as her current man, Travis Kelce. And a lot of people are sure that the album also includes a callout to her beef with Kim Kardashian. Dropping a double album in the midst of a massive world tour is definitely a flex. What can we say? God works hard, but Taylor Swift works harder.

Sydney Sweeney Not Euphoric About Producer’s Comments Apr 18, 2024

Show notes

Movie producer Carol Baum (“Father of the Bride,” "Buffy the Vampire Slayer”) probably wishes she’d just kept her mouth shut. Last week, during a Q&A sesh after a screening of “Dead Ringers” - a movie she produced in the 80s - Baum started ripping into Sydney Sweeney for her performance in the rom-com, “Anyone But You.” She called the “Euphoria” star “not pretty” and pointedly said she “can’t act.” After Carol’s comments were made public, it didn’t take long for Sydney’s supporters to clap back. Looks like in the future, Carol should watch what words her mouth “produces.”

Courtney Has No ‘Love’ for Beyoncé and Taylor Swift Apr 17, 2024

Show notes

Courtney Love is pulling no punches! In a new interview with the UK’s Evening Standard to promote her BBC series, “Courtney Love’s Women,” the former Hole frontwoman seems to be showing anything but “love” for some of today’s music queens. She’s dragging Taylor Swift, Lana Del Rey and Beyoncé - a pretty bold move considering just how devoted their fanbases are. Looks like this is just Courtney being Courtney. But the question is, with all the shade she’s throwing, is she just digging herself a “hole?”

Music, Make Outs and Meltdowns at Coachella Apr 16, 2024

Show notes

Coachella is off and running. The two-weekend SoCal music festival kicked off this past weekend with headliners Lana Del Rey, Tyler the Creator and Doja Cat. Gwen Stefani also reunited with her band No Doubt - for the first time in almost a decade - and brought out special guest Olivia Rodrigo. And speaking of surprise guests, during her performance, Renée Rapp called Kesha to the stage to sing her banger “TiK ToK.” And while the stars were doing their thing onstage, A-listers in the crowd gave people plenty more to talk about. Tayvis was there in full lovey-dovey mode, and were not the only celebs packing on the PDA. Both Billie Eilish and actor Evan Peters were seen smooching people. So we wonder what weekend #2 has in store for us.

But Channing says he’s grown the franchise a ton after they split up. This high profile celebrity divorce trial is on the books for December, and they’ll be calling each other as witnesses. So buckle up, Richies, and get ready for their legal “last dance.”

JoJo Siwa Getting Roasted for 'Gay Pop' Comments Apr 10, 2024

Show notes

JoJo Siwa is all grown-up, and she wants you to know it. On Friday, the former “Dance Moms” cast member dropped her new song “Karma,” along with the music vid. They show a new look and sound for JoJo, who has ditched her signature bow and family-friendly image for an edgier vibe. While out promoting her music, JoJo told Billboard she wants to start a new genre of music she calls “gay pop.” People online reacted strongly to this, pointing to the many LGBTQ+ artists who came before her. (Elton John, Frank Ocean, Boy George, Lady Gaga anyone?) So far, JoJo doesn’t seem too bothered by all the backlash. Looks like she might really be in her “bad girl” era.
