    US Treasury hack, Trump and Musk on visas and Syria's Ukraine overtures Dec 31, 2024

President-elect Donald Trump has sided with Elon Musk in a public dispute over the use of the H-1B visa. Syria’s new foreign minister has told Ukraine that it hopes for strategic partnerships with Kyiv, as Russia's influence wanes and the U.S. watches developments closely.
