And on today’s Dark enigma we’re looking into a mysterious death, an exorcism and maybe a conspiracy? Who knows what lurks in today’s episode? Oh right, me lol. So tonight’s episode is a two for, that’s right I’m hitting something normal and then a short story on something else for you. Hey, I’m bored stuck at home so sue me. Alright then, with that said, we will still be playing our drinking game and as you know, the drinking game is only for those of us that are quarantined at home and have nowhere else to go tonight, like you can go anywhere. The choice of libation is yours, so choose your poison accordingly… Alright, now for the game part how about every time I say demons that will be a single shot and every time I say Korea, that will be a double shot. Now that the business end is out of the way we can jump headfirst into today’s dark enigma… and the Mysterious Deadly Exorcism of Joanna Lee and for today’s double feature did Dean Koontz predict the Wuhan Virus back in his 1981 thriller? So let’s jump in my heathens..
For as long as human beings have believed in demons there have been ways to try and stop them. Accounts of demons and demonic possession in one form or another can be found across the world throughout a wide range of disparate cultures, and the means of warding them off just as varied as the people who believe in them. One of the methods most firmly lodged into the public consciousness through countless horror movies and their tropes is that of the exorcism, wherein a priest or some other holy person goes toe to toe with the dark forces beyond our understanding. Yet in this battle there are often casualties, those exorcisms that go awry and derail to descend into madness and death. This is one of those stories.

CORONAVIRUS SPREADERS: Pranksters or Terrorists? Apr 03, 2020

From jihadists targeting hospitals to social media celebs
licking toilet seats, the possibilities during COVID-19 are
endless, and terrifying. A memo from the Department of
Homeland Security warns that terrorists are encouraging
each other to spread the virus if they get infected.
Terrorist leaders tell followers that "fighting jihad is the
surest way to guarantee protection from the virus.”
Indeed, some terrorists have already begun accelerating
their plans - like the one who was stopped in the nick of
time from attacking a hospital treating COVID-19
patients, or the one who was stopped on his way to the
Middle East to help ISIS.
Meanwhile, a memo from the Justice Department warns
that those who intentionally spread COVID-19 could be
charged with terrorism-related offenses, and could get
up to life imprisonment, because coronavirus is a
biological agent. Already, several arrests have been
made - like the New Jersey man who coughed in the
face of a supermarket employee. Social media celebs,
licking everything from deodorants to toilets seats, to
get more ‘likes’ and followers, are getting arrested on
terrorist charges, instead. Are they jihadists or
psychologically disturbed pranksters?

Being buried alive ranks pretty high on the list of terrible ways to die, and it used to happen a lot more than it does now. In fact, in the earlier days of medicine it was much more difficult to determine if someone was actually dead – or just in a coma, emaciated, or paralyzed. Starting around the 18th century, suspected corpses were subjected to abusive tests to establish death. It ranged from the fairly benign nipple pinching all the way up to hot pokers inserted in their rectums. If no complaints registered on that last test, it must certainly be safe to presume them dead. Laughter ensued in 1846 when French doctor Eugène Bouchut suggested the use of new stethoscope technology to listen for the existence of a heartbeat.
While we should feel thankful that the days of inferior medical equipment and lack of knowledge are mostly behind us, we haven’t rid humanity of this horrible experience quite yet. There is evil in the world that still makes the threat of being buried alive a valid concern, as some of these stories point out. Good luck sleeping tonight after hearing these – especially if you suffer from taphephobia: the fear of being buried alive.

CORONAVIRUS: UNLIKE 9/11 - WE'RE SCARING OURSELVES TO DEATH! Mar 31, 2020

After 9/11, we were encouraged to go out and support each
other, but with coronavirus we’re being made to panic and
ordered to isolate - despite the fact that isolation has a death
rate ultimately higher than the virus. But, before delving into
this, we start off with a story that ties 9/11 and coronavirus
together in a personal way - the story of John Knox, a
legendary FDNY Fire Marshall who succumbed to coronavirus
because of his underlying chronic obstructive pulmonary
disease from his sacrifices at Ground Zero.
There are similarities between 9/11 and coronavirus, in that
the terror we feel from both events consists of a combination
of vulnerability, helplessness and uncertainty. But, there are
differences, too. For example, after 9/11, we were told
that our patriotic duty is to go out and show those terrorists
they’re not going to change our way of life, whereas for
COVID-19, we’re told that our patriotic duty is to hole up.
Yet for coronavirus, the key word is loneliness: the loneliness
victims feel when they are ill and dying because of having to
be isolated, and the loneliness most people feel when they
are forced to stay at home. Hear how stuffed up sewer
systems from people using substitutes for toilet paper is a
metaphor for how mayors and governors aren’t taking into
consideration the outcomes of their rash, ill-thought out
makeshift new rules.

An escalating effort to contain the outbreak of the new coronavirus means that millions of people are now working or studying from home. Though self-quarantine might sound manageable or possibly appealing at first, even the most introverted of us is going to go stir crazy after a bit -- especially if you've got kids cooped up inside.
We've rustled up some of our favorite ways to stay entertained if you're self-quarantined or practicing social distancing in the weeks to come.

As concerts are postponed, sporting events are canceled, schools are closed and tourist hot spots are shut down, experts recommend that even those who show no sign of illness stay home during this time of global pandemic.
That's right: It's advised that you self-quarantine.
Although remaining inside is a good way to protect yourself and others from the coronavirus, and is an important measure to help "flatten the curve" of daily cases that put pressure on our health care system, it could lead to a lesser evil: boredom and stir craziness.

On August 22nd, 2011, a woman by the name of Gladys Scherbey stopped by to see her son, Corey Scherbey, at his home in Chilliwick, in British Columbia, Canada. It was a totally routine visit, something she had done many times before, and there was no reason at all for her to have expected anything strange when she came to that door. Yet, repeated rings of the doorbell and knocks gained no response from within, so she let herself in. What she would find within the living room would be a chilling sight that would scar her for life and launch a grim, horrific mystery orbited by conspiracy that still hasn’t been solved to this day.
