Today we're talking all about the Amazon Prime documentary "Shiny, Happy People," which focuses on the Duggar family and the greater theology behind their beliefs (Bill Gothard's Institute in Basic Life Principles). The IBLP and Gothard have been accused of legalism, double standards, and abuse within their doctrine. We start off with some issues the documentary presents as big problems within Duggar/IBLP theology, which include wives submitting to husbands, gender roles, and modesty, among others. We also share the problems we see with their theology, but discuss how many things like submission and gender roles themselves are actually biblical – the IBLP has just misconstrued, misinterpreted, and misapplied these Biblical commands to create a legalistic, graceless, gospel-less framework that oppresses and represses its adherents rather than setting them free. We share some of the shocking revelations from the documentary series and explain the frustrating angle the filmmakers took in conflating IBLP and fundamentalism with true gospel principles and beliefs.

Today we start off with the White House 'Pride' celebration, which drew criticism online after a transgender-identifying man flashed his fake moobs on the White House lawn. This, of course, was after the White House debuted a horrific display of a pride flag in between two American flags, technically violating the U.S. flag code. Many have made the claim that we will be judged because of things like this, but the reality is – this is part of the judgment. We explain the deceitfulness of calling this "loving your neighbor." Then, Megan Fox found herself in the news after commentator Robby Starbuck posted photos of her sons, who appear to be dressed as girls. We look at her comments on this, including her previous statement that when her son was still in the womb she felt he was gender queer. We also look at a new study that shows people in most categories are moving to the truth when it comes to views on gender and waking up to the nonsense around us, and we discuss the tragedy of Tori Bowie's death during labor and the narrative surrounding it.

Today we’re discussing several parenting influencers who have jumped into giving advice on how to teach kids about Pride Month. We respond to some of the things they've said regarding Pride and give you some encouragement and advice in response. One of these accounts is Dr. Becky’s "Good Inside;" she recently posted about how to encourage your kids to accept openness and tolerance in relation to Pride. We explain why we shouldn’t be teaching our kids to be open to and tolerant of everything and why it's important for kids to orient themselves according to the truth of the world. We talk about the danger and stupidity of the phrase “love is love” and look at a Parents magazine article on going along with your child’s “coming out.” Then we talk about "Big Little Feelings," another parenting influencer who posted before Pride Month, pushing the propaganda that your child will commit self-harm if you don't allow them to submit to gender ideology. This goes hand in hand with the Trevor Project's bizarre "data" on young people and "lifesaving" hormones that doesn't seem to be founded in reality.

Today we're talking about the continuing controversy surrounding the Los Angeles Dodgers and their involvement with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group of drag queens who explicitly belittle and mock Christianity. Since the Dodgers re-invited the group to participate in their Pride event, several pro players have spoken out against the politicization of the MLB by having Pride events and involving themselves with groups like the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, and unsurprisingly, they're getting trashed by the Left and mainstream media. However, some of these players are holding more firmly to their faith than others, while some have disappointingly responded with caveats or apologized altogether. Then, we talk about the terrible story of two elderly pro-life volunteers who were violently attacked while praying outside an abortion clinic. Then, we briefly discuss a new study that seems to confirm what we all already knew: that left-wing ideology attracts literal narcissists and psychopaths.
